What’s wrong with me?
Do your thoughts turn and talk in your mind about who you are?Have you ever had thoughts that belittle, sadden, and despair? Oh, maybe, you can compare yourself to other people and it looks like their lives are much more interesting than yours. Does it seem that the lives of others are extraordinary and that yours is just an ordinary life? Then you think your life doesn’t make sense, or your life has no value. Is that how you think about yourself?
Let’s talk about these difficult things and remember where we can put our hope.
Relationships are made through the windows offered by the virtual world, but real life, outside the network audience, is very different, there is no personal communication, people are not known for what they are.
There is no real relationship without proximity, you cannot meet someone without knowing the circumstances of their life, how they felt and how they reacted to the circumstances. It’s part of meeting someone to know where your thoughts are going.
It’s not enough to see fragments of people’s lives framing their posts on social media. People relate to contact with each other, through proximity, the exchange of experiences. Real relationships are formed with personal contact, face to face, on good days and in bad days.
In times of virtual communication, we no longer talk to all our senses, our communication is processed in the virtual world, and what difference does it make?It makes a lot of difference because not all of us have our senses performing together in the theater of life: eyes on the eyes, sound and tone of the voice, a smile, a touch of friendship on the back arched by the weight of fear, a friendly embrace on a bad day.
Isolated, lonely and confused, with your thoughts pushing you into an endless abyss of bad emotions, life destabilizes you and makes you lose hope or forget the reason for yours.
What happens to us is that all mankind is corrupted by sin. Sin entered humanity after the Fall, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and this disobedience was perpetrated in each of us, causing harm to our minds and hearts, our physical state, and our affections.
I don’t know what your “tribe” is, but sadness, despair, the dryness of life don’t settle in a specific tribe, whether atheist or believer, married or single, white, black, yellow or brown, rich. or poor, polite or not, graduate or postgraduate, can be cornered by a feeling of fear, of anguish that seems to have no end. A dead end. A tunnel without light.
Where do you put your hope? Are you so lonely that you don’t have anyone to share your anguish with?
The world says that we should look at ourselves in search of self-esteem, self-love, but have you ever stopped to think that if each of us only looks at ourselves, there will never be an opportunity to look at others or even God?
The world says that the cure for our ills is to know ourselves, but the Word of God commands us to constantly look at the author and finisher of our faith [i] and we have resisted badly focusing on the Savior and not on ourselves, because on ourselves there is no salvation.
Because the word of God is alive, effective, and sharper than any double-edged sword, and penetrates to the point of dividing the soul and mind, joints, and marrow, and can discern the thoughts and purposes of the heart. 12
Seeing God in His Word allows us to know our hearts because God, our Creator, knows the deepest place in our souls and His Holy Spirit can penetrate the depths of our souls into darkness and spread their light.
And that is the message we have heard of him, and we say to them: that God is light and that there is no darkness in Him. 1 John 1: 5
Walking with Christ dispels our darkness, illuminates our thoughts, is light at the end of the tunnel, our hope.
But, hey, do you know the wonderful, unique and unparalleled advisor?
You must know that the truth is liberating.
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8. 32
And that truth is one person: Jesus, We can only find salvation in one person:
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one can come unto the Father but for me (John 14:6).
And when Jesus catches up with us, He frees us to live eternal life
Therefore, if the Son delivers you, you will truly be free John 8:36
Jesus came to enlighten our darkness:
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world; He who follows me will not walk in darkness; on the contrary, it will have the light of life (John 8:12).
The word of Christ lives richly in you; Edit and counsel us wisely, praising God with spiritual psalms, hymns, and chants with gratitude in our hearts.
You can be with Christ when you read the Word of God, because he is the Incarnate Word.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelned among us, full of grace and truth, and we saw his glory, glory like that of the Only Begotten of the Father.
The Word of God bears witness to the people who knew Him, the people who were with him, listening, seeing, observing, and feeling [ii].
The Word of God purifies, educates, corrects, perfects. God’s will is good, perfect, and pleasant.
His mind will be based on the spirit of Christ
You can start seeking help from someone you trust, believing that help is valuable at times like this when our thoughts are confused and our feelings are like a sea embraved with waves of bad emotions.
You can talk about how you feel and ask someone who might be with you at this difficult time, no, it’s not a burden for the people who love you and because they love you, they can help lighten your burden.
So that there is no division in the body; on the contrary, members cooperate, with the same care, on behalf of others, so that if a member suffers, everyone suffers for him; and if anyone is honest, everyone rejoices with him. 1 Corinthians 12:25-26
We must connect with one another as Christ did here on earth with his disciples. Close contact is part of learning, comfort, teaching, and correction.
Psalm 6. 2-3
Lord, have mercy on me, for I feel weak; Get me out, Lord, because my bones are touched.
My soul is also deeply troubled; But you, Lord, how long?
Turn around, Lord, and help me; Save me with your grace
Psalm 16. 5-11
The Lord is part of my inheritance and my cup; you support my luck.
My coins have fallen in pleasant places; my legacy is magnificent
I bless the Lord, who counsels me; because even at night, my heart teaches me.
I always have the Lord before me; being to my right, I won’t be shaken.
That is why my heart rejoices and my mind rejoices; even my body will be safe.
Because you will not leave my soul in death, and you will not allow your Holy One to see corruption.
You will show me the way of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy, to your right, there are perpetual delights.
Psalm 116: 1-9
I love the Lord because he hears
my voice and my prayers.
Because he bowed his ears to me
I will invoke it as long as I live.
The bonds of death surrounded me,
and the anguish of hell invades me;
I fell into tribulation and sadness.
Then I invoked the name of the Lord:
Lord, free my soul
our God is merciful.
The Lord watches over the simple;
I was prostrate and he saved me
Come back, my soul, to your peace,
because the Lord has been generous to you.
Because you saved my soul from death
tears, my eyes,
from the fall, my feet.
I will walk in the presence of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Praise strengthens us in Christ, silences the enemy (even in our minds!)
From the mouths of breastfed children
you’ve increased your strength because of your opponents,
silences the enemy and the avenger.
Psalm 8. 2
Do you hear what they are saying? Jesus answered them: Yes; you never read:
Have you received the perfect praise from the mouths of children and babies?Matthew 21. 16
When we worship our Lord, the concentration of our love shapes us and silences our anguish.
His praise bears witness to the wonders God does in his life
And he put on my lips a new song, a hymn of praise to our God; many will see these things, fear, and trust in the Lord. Psalm 40. 3
You can approach the wonderful counselor and ask him to support and comfort you. He is God’s provider and nothing can separate us from him.
When this whirlwind of thoughts and emotions confuses you and takes away your hope, seek help, seek our Lord, pray to the psalms, remember that the God who opened the sea so that his people would pass with dry feet when they fled their persecutors is the same yesterday, today and always.
Temptations in your life are no different from those faced by others; God is faithful and will not allow greater temptations than you cannot bear; when tempted, it will show you a way to resist 1 Corinthians 10. 13 (NAA)

[ii] 1 John 1: 1. 2 What was from the beginning, what we heard, what we saw with our own eyes, what we contemplated, and how our hands felt in relation to the Word of life (and life was manifested, and we saw it, and we bear witness to it, and we proclaim it to you, eternal life, which was with the Father and manifested to us).
