Win what you can’t lose

Verse of the day: But Jesus, looking at them, said, For men, it is impossible; However, not for God, because for God everything is possible (Mark 10. 27).

Here are two great incentives of Jesus to become a missionary and devote himself to the cause of border missions.

  • 1.
  • Every impossibility to men is possible for God (Mark 10:27).
  • The conversion of the cobbled sinners will be the work of God and will be in harmony with his sovereign plan.
  • We must not fear or care about our weakness.
  • The battle is of the Lord and he will give victory.

Christ promises to work for us and be for us in such a way that when our missionary life is over, we cannot say that we sacrifice anything (Mark 10:29-30).

When we follow your missionary recipe, we discover that even the painful consequences help improve our condition; our spiritual health and joy are perfected a hundred times; and when we die, we don’t die. We gain eternal life.

I do not want you to ruin your courage and sacrifice for Christ, I ask you to give up everything to achieve a life that satisfies your deepest desires, I ask you to consider all things as scum for the incomparable value of remaining the service of the King of kings, I ask you to take off the bought rags and put on the clothes of the ambassadors of God.

I promise you persecution and deprivation, but do you remember the joy?Blessed are those persecuted by righteousness, for of them is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5. 10).

On January 8, 1956, five Auca Indians from Ecuador killed Jim Elliot and his four fellow missionaries as they tried to bring the gospel to the sixty-person Auca tribe.

Four young women lost their husbands and nine children lost their parents. Elizabeth Elliot wrote that the world called it a tragic nightmare. He then added: “The world has not recognized the truth of Jim Elliot’s second credo clause: “He is not a fool who abandons what he cannot hold back to win what he cannot lose. “
