CHARLES WESLEY

Say hello to the day you see him get up,

Taken with our nostalgic eyes!

Christ, given to mortals for a time

He rises to his native sky!

There awaits you a magnificent triumph:

? Raise your heads, eternal portals

I opened the radiant stage very wide,

Receive in you the king of glory?

Surrounded by angelic power

Yours and our triumphant Lord,

Death and sin have won

Receive in you the king of glory!

And even though he gets the highest sky,

He still loves the land he left behind;

Even if he returns to his throne

He calls his humanity.

Look! Put your hands up!

Look! This shows the marks of your love!

See! Your lips for free

Blessings for your church there!

Always for us, he implores his death;

Dominant, intercede;

Next to you, prepare our place,

Precursor of the human race

Master (we’ll say forever)

Now taken from our heads;

Look at your faithful servants!

Always contemplating you.

It grants, even if it is beyond our vision,

Above and above the blue heights

Let our hearts rise to you

I follow you beyond the heavens.

Always up as we move

Raised by wings of love;

Waiting for the return of our Lord,

Thirsty, wannabe to the house

There with you standing

Participants of your eternal kingdom;

Let us see your cloudless face there

Find paradise in you!

DAVID BISGROVE

Have you certainly heard the saying? Out of sight, out of mind, someone who is not there, whom we have not seen for a long time, does not have much impact or has much importance in our daily life, the Bible tells us that after the resurrection of Jesus, he ascended to heaven, disappearing from sight, without being seen anymore. But we are also told that because of where we live today, we can be sure that it is relevant to our daily lives.

Where is Jesus now? Sitting at the right hand of God the Father, what does it matter to us in our daily life? First, remember that Jesus reigns over all creation. Psalm 110 paints a beautiful picture of God’s enemies as a stepping stone to His feet, where Jesus walks seated at the right hand of the Father. Do you see the comfort of this in your daily life? When you are battling discouragement and disappointment, or you are bitter about the way life is going, or you are discouraged and angry at all the injustice and evil that exists in the world, and like David in Psalm 37, you are tempted To ask yourself why the wicked prosper, consider where Jesus is now. He’s at the right hand of God the Father, look at him there. The enemies are at your feet, trampled on. He who conquered death now reigns over the earth. Ephesians 1 says that Jesus was given all authority and will one day return, straightening out the crooked places. Allow him, where Jesus is now, to give you the hope and courage to trust and follow him.

There’s more. Jesus is not only the reigning king; it is also the priest who intercedes. Hebrews 10 tells us that Jesus is the great High Priest, who on the cross offered himself as the ultimate sacrifice for sin; Now intercedes for us, praying for us to the right of the Father, He is our lawyer in every sense of the word. Therefore, to see Jesus at the right hand of God as our High Priest is to remember that there is no condemnation for our sins, that Jesus sacrificed himself so that we could be united with Him. Therefore, we have all rights, as children of God.

Yes, Jesus is far from our eyes. We do not see him physically, but he is active in our daily life in this world, while at the right hand of God the Father, he reigns like our king, intercedes as a priest and hopes to return to us, when He will then wipe away all tears, turn swords into plows and flood the whole world with his glory and grace.

Lord was resurrected and ascended, though you no longer walk on this earth, you reign from your throne, all authority and power belong to you. Your name is about all names; Lift us up to the last day, that we may live with you in your kingdom, amen.
