Verse of the day: “Among whom we have all walked once, according to the inclinations of our flesh, doing the will of the flesh and thoughts; and we were, by nature, children of anger, like the others” (Ephesians 2. 3)
All the wrath of God and all the condemnation we deserve has been poured out upon Jesus. Christ has fulfilled all the requirements of God’s perfect righteousness. The moment we see this Treasure (by grace!) And we receive it this way, his death is counted as our death, his condemnation as our condemnation, his righteousness as our righteousness, and God becomes 100% irrevocable and eternally favorable to us at this time. .
- The question to which this remains unanswered is: “Does the Bible not teach that in eternity God has established his favor over us in the election?”.
In other words, thoughtful people ask, “Has God become 100% for us alone at the time of faith, union with Christ, and justification?Didn’t it become 100% for us at the time of the election before the foundation of the world??? Paul says in Ephesians 1. 4-5: “As [God] chose us, in him [in Jesus], before the foundation of the world, to be holy and unspotted before him; and in love I preach to Him, for the adoption of children, for Jesus Christ?.
So isn’t God 100% for the chosen of eternity? The answer depends on the meaning of “100%”.
With the term? 100%? I try to secure a biblical truth that is found in various passages of Scripture. For example, in Ephesians 2: 3, Paul says that Christians were “children of wrath? before being quickened in Christ Jesus: “We all walk once [among the children of disobedience], according to the inclinations of our flesh, doing the will of the flesh and of the mind; And were we by nature children of anger, like the others?
Paul says that before regeneration, God’s wrath was upon us and the chosen ones were angry. This changed when God invigorated us in Christ Jesus and awakened us to see the truth and beauty of Christ, so that we could receive Him as the One who died for us and as the One whose righteousness is imputed as ours, because of our union. Before this happened to us, we were under the wrath of God, then, because of faith and union with Christ, all of God’s wrath was taken away and God became, in that sense, 100% for us.
Therefore, rejoice in the truth that God will preserve you, it will lead you to the end because, in Christ, He is 100% for you, and therefore, enduring to the end does not make God 100% for you. the effect of the fact that it’s already 100% for you.
