CHARLES WESLEY

Get up, my soul, get up! Shake your guilty fears;

Bloody Sacrifice appears in my favor.

Before your throne is my guarantee;

My name is written in your hands.

He lives forever upstairs, interceding for me,

Your redeeming love, your precious blood begs you

His blood has atoned for our entire race,

Sprinkle now on the throne of grace.

Bloody his five wounds, received on Calvary;

That they pour out effective prayers, interceding with power for me:

“Sorry, oh, i’m sorry!” Scream.

“Do not let this redeemed sinner die

My God has reconciled; I hear your voice of forgiveness.

He possesses me as his son; I’m not afraid anymore.

Now I approach him with confidence

And I shout, “Father, Father Abba!?

BRYAN CHAPELL

The Ascension is the induction of Christ as King of all; when he ascended to heaven, he showed his dominion over death and continues to occupy his place of authority over the whole world; the one who created the world is the same one who continues to rule it by the word of his power.

Now, when we say that Christ reigns, we say that, in his ascension, he assumed the role of King he had before coming to earth; while he was on earth, he continued to keep all things and fulfill all his purposes, to an end. Death and resurrection. Now, like the Ascended Lord, he is the Lord of everything, of all things. He controls all things to cooperate for the good of those who love Him. But he is not simply king: in his ascension, he too intercedes for us at the right hand of God. He continues to serve as a priest, providing everything necessary as a lawyer and intercessor before the Father. When we pray to God, repenting of our sins, sins are taken by the Son of God. God, who acts as the one who intercedes for us today, priest in our name, so that God may hear and act in our name.

Jesus not only acts as king and priest in our name, but continues to send His Word into our hearts through the work of His Spirit. The Holy Ghost, remember, testifies Cristo. La reason why we can understand the Word of God. God, not only his logic, but also its meaning, is that the Holy Spirit sent by Christ opens our hearts in this direction, that is, this Word comes from Christ and is given to us by the Spirit, and Jesus continues to work as a prophet in our name in the Word of God, so that we may walk with Him, understand Him, and understand His grace.

All this means that, in his ascension, Christ works for our good in the present and governs current circumstances. Pray us wherever we are, send your Word to our hearts, that we may face the present circumstances, but this is not the end of your work.

As prophet, priest, and king, he prepares our future; all things cooperate for the divine result, the consumption of god’s glory by the one who rules above all for the purposes he has conceived; as king, he prepares us a place for God. As a priest, he will make sure that when we are in court, we are righteous before God for the work of purifying His blood. The priestly nature of Jesus will come to light when we prostrate before the Lamb of God, who with his blood bought for God men and women of all tribes, tongues, and nations, and this priestly role will also be played by Christ preparing us for the future, and finally, through his Spirit, he guarantees everything. those who are his, and therefore God, through his Spirit, does his will not only in the present world, but also for eternity; he assures, by the power of the Spirit, all he wants, sending him for his purposes, his power, and his infinite love for Jesus Christ.

The ascended Lord is one who, as a prophet, priest, and king, governs our present and prepares our future.

Savior of intercession, you always show compassion for your people; in all as we were tempted, and now you intercede for us when we are tempted; pray to the Father for us, for you are our lawyer before the judge of the whole earth. . Amen.
