I have a great happy single friend. She and I protested against our bodies as we went through the unpredictable challenge of emotions, sensations, and weight gain that often accompanies the late fertile forties. We shared many aspects of this experience, but I learned a lot from listening to him. He expressed the feeling that he was paying the price for goods that I never had the privilege of taking home. She felt the closure not only of the reproductive system of the body, but also of her dreams.
I have another friend, married, who, with her husband, is on fertility treatment, when I asked her if she was willing to speak at an event that would take place the following year, she was frustrated in responding. Should I or shouldn’t I include a child on your agenda next year?
- So does my friend who has six children come to mind? And you have to deal.
- In your own way.
- With the operation of your reproductive system.
If you’re reading this and you’re a woman, I imagine you’ve already expressed or heard someone express the feeling that it’s simply not fair to have received the body we’ve received. Why didn’t God put some of the physical complications of the birth and birth of men Why do women carry the painful weight of all this?
If you are a woman, but you are not a mother, I hope you do not skip this chapter, because my goal is to ask what reveals the woman’s body, with all its distinctively feminine cycles, systems and stages, about the Creator and the world she created.
Is there a connection between the immense truths of God’s Word and the problems we all address with our gynecologists in their small office? After all, isn’t it just the pain of pregnancy, childbirth and childbirth, but also monthly discomfort?annoyance; other times, accompanied by various forms of pain.
Have you ever thought that the entire female reproductive system looks like an unnecessarily laborious process?Couldn’t it be a system we could put in place and use only when we need it?Couldn’t it be more hygienic, clean and simple? Is there a smoother progression from 50 to old age? And, yes, why do men, by comparison, seem to go through the dance of life, with bodies that just don’t give them that kind of regular suffering?Has the woman ever envied men on a long walk with no place to rest or use the bathroom?
If there is a connection of all this to spiritual reality, we must grasp it, mainly to live in God’s love in a more global way, rather than raising our fists to heaven, angry or inattention to the role of heaven in our earthly existence. I have observed that because women are necessarily more connected to bodily existence, it means thinking about how much God cares about our female body. But this is also true for men in general; our bodies are part of God’s good creation, in view not only of this fallen world, but also of the new heavens and the earth to come. But the focus here is on women and their unique design. Here is the question: why does God conceive of the female body in a way that continues to annoy us, so often in a painful way physically or emotionally, with memories of procreation?
This chapter declares that a woman’s body is a living illustration of God’s truth: we can say that our bodies preach to us.
When we hear God’s Word, we begin to understand the aspects that our bodies highlight. We have begun to find real answers to our essential and necessary answers in a fallen world that, from Eden, resonates with voices that do not tell the truth. But before we try to listen to the real answers, we must recognize the existence of a multitude of false answers that do not help us.
The female body has always been a mystery to grapple with. Four centuries before Christ, the Greek philosopher Aristotle proposed highly influential theories about reproduction. Aristotle’s general claim was that woman is created when the course of nature that would produce the male fails one way or another and, instead, the female was born, a kind of man who did not realize what was intended? or, as they say, “as if he were a defective man. ” Variations on this view have dominated the Western world for centuries.
Without the light of God’s Word, women and their bodies are often less valued than God’s intention; however, they can also be evaluated above what God has conceived. In many religions throughout history, do we find female goddesses whose fertility power is magnified and worshipped?like the Roman goddess Venus (with her Greek counterpart, Aphrodite). The modern version of this cult appears in literature and movements that foster spirituality through female connection with primitive life, fertility and even divinity. a combination like? The feminine and the spirituality? On Amazon’s website and you’ll find compelling evidence that to this day we haven’t given up worship of this goddess yet. The ability to conceive and lead a new life with it is an undeniable mystery; As a separate power from the worship of our Creator, it can become a means of becoming a means of becoming the place that belongs only to him.
For many of us, the most widespread (and often overlooked) exaggerated appreciation of the female body is present in the various media, which constantly fill our eyes with female bodies and female parts. Strolling through a shopping mall or browsing a magazine invites you to love female forms?not just any female form, but a version appreciated for its beauty and sexual appeal, as defined by our culture. Is it amazing how these images float so perfectly in virtual reality, without bumps, wrinkles, imperfections or imperfections of Any kind? How desirable and distant these bodies are, like any goddess.
Thus, the appreciation of the female body can easily become far below or well above what God wanted. It is clear that overestimating the power or beauty of a woman’s body ends up devaluing women as whole beings, created in the image of God. Selling things makes these bodies cheaper than you think. Prostitution and pornography provide the most extreme and devastating examples. Without listening to divine revelation, we quickly lose the true value and glory of the female body, conceived, in the same way as the male body, to reflect the image of our Creator God. And when we consider the body in the light of God’s Word, what do we see?
