Verse of the day: Let it announce from the beginning what will happen and since ancient times, things that have not yet happened; I say, my counsel will be maintained, I will do all my will (Isaiah 46:10).
The word “sovereignty”? (such as the word “trinity”) does not appear in the Bible. We use it to refer to this truth: God has final control of the world from the greatest international war to the fall of the smallest bird in the forest.
- This is how the Bible says.
- “I am God.
- And there is no other like me?Will my counsel remain valid.
- Will I do all my will?”(Isaiah 46:9-10).

- Of heaven and of the inhabitants of the earth; there is no one who can stop his hand or say: what are you doing?(Daniel 4.

- Who can dissuade him?Whatever he wants.

- Is our God in heaven and he does all he wants?(Psalm 115.
- 3).
One of the reasons why this doctrine is so valuable to believers is that we know that God’s great desire is to show mercy and kindness to those who trust in him (Ephesians 2. 7, Psalm 37. 3-7, Proverbs 29. 25). God’s sovereignty means that this plan toward us cannot be thwarted.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens to those who love Dieu. et “are called according to their purpose”, except what is for our deepest and highest good (Romans 8. 28; Psalm 84. 11).
Therefore, God’s mercy and sovereignty are the two pillars of my life, they are the hope of my future, the strength of my service, the center of my theology, the bond of my marriage, the best remedy for all my illnesses, the antidote. against all my discouragements.
And when I die (sooner or later), these two truths will remain in my bed and with infinitely strong and infinitely loving hands will lift me up to God.
