“Therefore also those who suffer according to the will of God give their soul to the faithful Creator, in the practice of good” (1 Stone 4:19).
International agencies have reported a pandemic for the new crown virus, words such as fear, uncertainty, crisis, quarantine, trade closure, lack of products, etc. , are at the headlines around the world.
- At times like this.
- When many are lost.
- Christians cling to what the Spirit has told them.
- Even in the face of major crises.
- Christians may see an opportunity to do good.
In a society that idolizes the state and consumption by the other, global crises, such as the one that develops, are opportunities for Christians to demonstrate the virtues of Jesus.
Therefore, I suggest that the brethren follow the following works of faith that we have in Jesus:
1. Trust in the providence of the Lord, God is sovereign over all things. Even viruses serve their good purpose, even if they are secret in our eyes; even the most skilful game theory cannot be compared to the greatness of God’s throne;
2. Pray for the world authorities. People are facing a global crisis in real time, but in the politicized city something must be clear: the crown virus has no political party, however, any protocol of health must be followed with all Christian wisdom and prudence, with a diaconal vocation. , we must express gestures of mercy with our brothers and sisters and with the city. Let us pray that health professionals and scientists, with God’s wisdom, can provide the vaccine against this pandemic.
3. Look at God’s grace, our ancestors in faith faced captivity, exile, disease, and plague; some of us have faced hyperinflation in the 1980s; in view of all this, we can testify that many things have happened. it has gone wrong and that many grips have been necessary, but in all situations we can always see god’s grace bestowed upon human beings. Just as the Lord is generous to us, let us be generous to those who are suffering at that time.
May the Lord thank us and help us!
