I’m surrounded by babies everywhere. Next to me I have many young mothers with newborns or less than 6 months old, some of these sisters in Christ have made disciples and I confess that in the face of this new stage I felt a little unprepared, today I am an adult woman (over 50 years old) who lives alone, although I have an adult child (married), I am a little out of practice and do not remember many details of when I myself had a baby to care for. A long time ago to remember what it is like to be a mother of babies and I asked the Lord to allow me to follow hands, them with me and me with them and us with the babies and the Lord taking care of everything!
Here at the Office of the Faithful Ministerium I work with Benjamin’s mom, yes, it’s true, it’s Ben’s mom, because when babies arrive, mothers shade behind those pretty, fleshy faces.
- I’m thinking about how to help these dear moms and their babies more and in addition to specific and practical help programs like change.
- Bathing and feeding.
- I’ve wondered how to keep these mothers out of the water or how to feed them.
- To mothers so that the anguish of taking good care of the baby.
- Maintaining balance with the husband.
- Taking care of all the other tasks that are part of the life of a married woman and still does not cool the relationship with the Lord of life.
And then live the books of Gloria Furman! Gloria is a mother of four and her husband, Dave, is a pastor. With authenticity and true love for God, Gloria shows us how it is possible to stay close to God even when her arms are around this beloved baby. that the Lord has given you.
We must learn to surrender to the Lord of Life and know that He cares for us, even when we are inexperienced and busy mothers.
Resources for armed busy mothers
If you’re a great mom, you probably won’t read this text, you still don’t have time, but if you’re that sister who walks with a new mother with her beautiful baby, you can help her have confidence that Christ controls everything, including that moment when life is out of control (ours, not hers!).
1. When we cannot attend services to hear the word of God, listen to or attend a conference while we shower or even change diapers No, it is good to hear the word of God so, after all, it is better to eat one way or another than to starve.
2. Another good resource is the Bible in audio available for free in apps that can be downloaded to your mobile phone. Can you enjoy a moment of reading? Biblical listened to the scriptures. Just to animate: we spent an average of 5 minutes absorbing a chapter of the Bible (read or listen). This daily time in the face of scripture can keep us in touch with the Lord and cause us to develop a habit of meditating on speech, as this part can be kept in your thoughts throughout the day.
3. But if 5 minutes are still long for this period when motherhood requires a lot from women, it may be that a recording of unwavering devotional joy by John Piper or Spurgeon, which lasts less than 2 minutes, can bring a renewal to your soul.
Being in harmony with the Lord will make you forget those dark thoughts of fatigue and loneliness.
4. Finally, the important resource I would like to share is that a memorized verse can be your refuge and strength in the Lord.
Place a short and meaningful verse written in a place that is easy to see, a place you will look several times during your mother’s long day, where you will be in contact with the Word of God that will relieve and renew you.
My suggestion
“Come unto me all ye that are weary and overwhelmed, and I will relieve you. Matthew 11:28
This is Jesus Christ’s invitation to tired sheep, don’t reject it.
