Verse of the day: Not even to offer himself often, because the high priest enters every year in the Holy Place of Saints with the blood of others. In this case, however, he should have suffered many times since the foundation of the world; now, however, as times pass, he has manifested himself once and for all to annihilate, sacrificing himself, sin (Hebrews 9:25-26).
It should not be assumed that there will be a welcome for sinners in heaven.
- God is holy.
- Pure.
- Perfectly just and righteous.
- However.
- The whole history of the Bible tells how such a great and holy God can receive and receive dirty people like you and me in his presence.
- How is that possible?.
Hebrews 9:25 says that Christ’s sacrifice for sin was not like the sacrifices of Jewish high priests; they entered the Holy Place of Saints every year with animal sacrifices to atone for the sins of the people; But these verses say that Christ did not enter heaven to offer himself often? In this case, should I have suffered many times since the foundation of the world?(Hebrews 9:26).
If Christ had followed the pattern of priests, he should have died every year, and since the sins to be filled would include the sins of Adam and Eve, he would have to begin his annual death in the foundation of the world. considers it unthinkable.
Why is this unthinkable? For it would make the death of the Son of God weak and ineffective, if it were repeated year after year for centuries, where would triumph be?Courage would disappear in the shame of annual suffering and death.
There was shame on the cross, but it was a triumphant shame. [Jesus] ignored ignominy and sat at the right hand of God’s throne (Hebrews 12:2).
It is the gospel of the glory of Christ, the image of God (2 Corinthians 4. 4). I pray that, as dirty as you are with sin, you will see the light of that glory and believe.
