I’ve had a lot of funerals. The vast majority of them came from people I didn’t know, this involves many challenges, but the most important thing is to know how to talk about the soul of someone you’ve never met, in each of these scenarios, I paid attention to them. the best advice I’ve received to hold a funeral, especially those I didn’t know.
Don’t preach by saying you went to heaven, don’t preach that you went to hell, just preach the gospel to the people who are there.
- Funeral service is not for the deceased.
- But for those who have stayed and are trying to find a way to deal with the loss of a loved one.
- Our task is to help them face their loss and make sure they know that outside of Christ.
- There is no hope of facing sin and death.
Pastors, do not preach by saying that the person went to heaven; don’t preach by saying that the person went to hell; we are also not in a position to determine that; what we can always do is preach the gospel to those who have gathered there and are seeking answers and hope.
