[The One of Grace] Read the Bible (1)

God has given us a book through which He speaks to us; he no longer communicates with men with his audible voice, as he did in the past; he now speaks through his Son (Heb 1-1-4), who transmits his word to us through the Holy Scriptures, the Bible. In the pages of the scriptures, He manifests His voice, capable of awakening the dead, of giving them life.

Read the entire Bible, doing it systematically. I fear that there are many parts of God’s Word that some believers never read; this attitude results in a lack of broad and balanced views on the truth, such a common lack today.

Reserve a portion of each day to read and ponder a part of God’s Word. Yesterday’s bread will not feed today’s worker; today’s bread won’t feed tomorrow’s worker either. Pick up your mana every morning. Choose the right time and time. Don’t take a nap or hurry while reading. Give your Bible the best, not the worst, of your time. Read the entire Bible, doing it consistently. I fear that there are several parts of the Word of God that some believers never read. This attitude translates into a lack of broad and balanced opinions on the truth, such a common lack today. I think a good plan is to read the Old and New Testaments at the same time, from start to finish; then start over. Read the Bible in a spirit of obedience and self-application. Start studying it with a determination to live by your rules, trust your statements, and behave according to your commandments. The most read Bible is the most practiced.

It is the instrument by which God speaks to His people. As you read the Bible, God blesses and gives believers everything they need for their daily lives.
