Verse of the day: This is my servant, whom I have chosen, my beloved, in whom my soul is satisfied; Upon him I will rest my Spirit, and announce judgment to the heathen; he won’t fight or fight. He shouts, and no one will hear his voice in the squares; it will not crush the broken rod, nor will it extinguish the smoldering crowd until judgment prevails; and for you the Gentiles will wait. (Matthew 12:18-21, quoting Isaiah 42).
The very soul of the father rejoices with joy at the sweetness of a servant and the compassion of his Son.
- When a cane is bent and about to break.
- The Servant will hold it tenderly until it heals.
- When a wick burns and there is almost no heat.
- The Servant does not turn it off.
- But protects it with his hand and blows gently until it burns again.
Thus the Father cries, “Here is my servant, in whom is my soul delighted?”The excellence and beauty of the Son come not only from his majesty, not only from his sweetness, but from the way they blend into perfect harmony. Proportion.
When the angel cries out in Revelation 5. 2: “Who is worthy to open the book and untie the seals”, the answer is: “Do not cry; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, won to open the book and its seven seals? (Revelation 5. 5).
God loves the strength of the Lion of Judah, so it is worthy in God’s eyes to open the reels of history and unravel the last days.
However, the figure is not complete. The following verse describes his appearance: “Thus have I seen, in the midst of the throne, the four living beings, and among the elders, a lamb stands as dead. (Revelation 5. 6) Jesus is worthy of the delights of the Father not only as the Lion of Judah, but also as a lamb who was sacrificed.
