Verse of the Day: When God spoke to parents several times and in many ways, through the prophets, in these latter days He spoke to us through the Son (Hebrews 1:1-2).
The last days begin with the coming of the Son into the world. Have we lived in the last days since the days of Christ? That is, in the last days of history as we know it before the final and complete establishment of the kingdom of God.
- The main point for the Hebrew writer is that the Word God uttered for his Son is the decisive Word; such a Word will not be persecuted at this time by any important word or substitute; it is the Word of God: the person.
- The teaching and the work of Jesus.
When I regret not hearing the Word of God, when I feel a desire to hear God’s voice and am frustrated that I do not speak as I want, what do I really say?and decisive word that was so fully revealed to me in the New Testament?Have I really exhausted this Word?Has it become such an important part of me that it has shaped my own being and given me life and direction?
Or did I treat her lightly? I read it superficially like a newspaper, tried it as if I knew that, then decided I wanted something different, something else. I’m afraid I’m more guilty than I want to admit.
Does God call us to hear His final and decisive Word?Meditate on it, study it, memorize it, stay and immerse ourselves in it until it saturates us in the center of our being.
