Verse of the day: Send his orders to the field, and his word runs fast (Psalm 147. 15).
Tonight will make 4 degrees more temperature in our kitchen freezer than here in Minneapolis. The highest temperature tomorrow will be 20 degrees below zero. We receive it from the hand of the Lord.

It’s the kind of cold you don’t play with. He kills
When I arrived in Minnesota from South Carolina I dressed for the cold, however I did not prepare the first aid equipment in case of mechanical failure.
One Sunday night, on the way home from church, in the middle of this kind of cold, my car broke down, that was before cell phones. I had two young kids in the car.
There was no one on this road. Suddenly I realized it was dangerous
That would soon be very dangerous. Nobody came.
I saw a house in the distance. I’m the father, that’s my job. I jumped the fence, ran to the house and knocked on the door. They’re home. I explained that I had a wife and two young children in the car and asked if they would let us in.
It’s a kind of cold you don’t play with
This is yet another way for God to say, “Whether hot or cold, strong or deep, sharp or blunt, strong or silent, light, or dark?”Don’t play with me. I’ve done all these things. They talk about me, as well as the warm summer breezes, light rains, pleasant moon and moon nights, lakeside movement, country lilies and skybirds.
There is a word for us in this cold: may the Lord give us the skin to feel and ears to hear.
