Verse of the day: Just as the husband rejoices in the wife, so your God will rejoice in you (Isaiah 62. 5).
When God does good to His people, he is not like a reluctant judge who shows kindness to a criminal he considers despicable (although this analogy has the truth in itself); is like a boyfriend who shows affection to his wife.
- Sometimes we joke and say about a wedding: “The honeymoon is over.
- ” But that’s because we’re done.
- We couldn’t maintain a honeymoon level of intensity and affection.
- Yet God says that her joy for her people is like a boyfriend for a wife.
Talk about the intensity, delights, vitality, excitement, excitement and fun of the honeymoon. He tries to put in our hearts what he means when he says to rejoice in us with all his heart.
And add to that with God, the honeymoon never ends. He is infinite in power, wisdom, creativity, and love, and he will see that we are increasingly beautiful forever; and it’s infinitely creative to think of new things to do together so that there are no problems during the billions of millennia to come.
