What was the disciples’ response when Jesus removed the clear Threat of Nature?They say they threw the hat at each other and celebrated by saying, “Did we know you’d do that?The text says that at the time they felt a great fear. The power that is unleashed when God speaks makes things exist out of nothing and brings the life of death.
If there is only one autonomous molecule in the universe, a molecule that escapes beyond the scope of God’s sovereign ordination, then, ladies and gentlemen, you cannot have the slightest confidence that any promise God has made about the future will come true. The Bible uses words such as, “Are we dead in sin?”, “Are we slaves to sin?”, “We are, by nature, children of anger. “We do not want God in our thoughts because He is holy, and here, the king of the universe puts his permanent mark on the souls of all His people. With each generation, the Gospel needs to be proclaimed again with the same boldness, clarity, and urgency that existed in the 16th-century Reformation. God is not sovereign, God is not God.
