The first of #i_am_whale? And how he got out alive

This is your first challenge: read this text to the end, even if it cuts off your soul.

Or do you feel lost in the rough seas of this life? You even thought, “Nobody cares, what’s the matter with me playing #bulaywhale?”

  • Well.
  • Let me tell you the story of the first player i_am_whale.
  • He threw it in the most radical way possible: he was swallowed alive.
  • Perhaps.
  • By a whale.

This is Jonah’s story, I lived his life until he received a message from God. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? Not for the Jonas. Il’t want to do that. Then take a boat in the opposite direction and try to get as far away from God as possible.

Only this is impossible! God is everywhere. What Jonah could not hope for was that God would completely thwart his plans. In the middle of the voyage, a strong storm broke out and the ship was about to turn. Jonah knew it was his fault and warned his fellow travelers. In order not to want to die, they ended up throwing Jonas into the sea (do you have to know what it feels like?To be thrown by others). Then God sends a big fish to swallow Jonah.

He spends three days and three nights there. But the story goes on

“From within the fish, Jonah prayed to the Lord his God. He said, “In my desperation, I called the Lord and he answered me. From the bosom of death I cried out for help and you heard my cry. [?] But you gave me back the life of the abyss, my Lord God!When my life was fading, did I remember you, Lord, and my prayer came to you?Salvation comes from the Lord. (Jonah 2, NVI)

Jonah then prayed to God and discovered that the salvation of this situation of death came from God.

Maybe your situation isn’t that different

God has given you life so that you can live in an exciting intimacy with Him. Sharing with him all joy and all your love. But you, like Jonah, turned away from God, and when we left the light, we entered the darkness. If you turn away from God, who is the source of life, what is left besides death?Isn’t that how you feel? Dead inside, lost in the dark?

But I’ll tell you. Suicide won’t ease your pain. Suicide is an illusion, because that life doesn’t end there. The worst thing anyone who walks away from God can do is kill themselves. He thinks suicide will ease his pain, but he won’t. It doesn’t make you feel any better! It only gets worse, because that person will face an eternity of suffering, this is what brings rebellion against the God of life, God is good and just, and if he does not condemn what is evil and unjust, it will be evil and unjust. .

So, what’s the answer? Well, here’s the good news: Jonah, in the grave, discovered that salvation came from God, and that’s what you need to know. I will tell you what God has done to bring salvation into your life.

Another person in the Bible talks about this episode of Jonah, saying that he would spend three days in the heart of the earth (Mt 12:40): Jesus Christ, God could give us all to death, but with his great love he provided us with someone who faced the grave of death that belonged to you, abandoned his own Son!

Were they living in a perfect relationship, brimming with love, unlike many of our families? However, through his great mercy, God sent His Son to live among us, lead a perfect life, and give his life on the cross. There, in this bloody death, Jesus took the punishment of anyone who repented of his rebellion and trusted him with salvation.

The story does not end with death. As Jonah, after three days, God resurrected his Son and took him out of the grave of death. It’s a real victory over suffering and death! And Jesus offers this life for you.

So here’s your second challenge: abandon your rebellion against God, look at Jesus on this cross giving his life for you and believe that his life, death and resurrection are enough to save you, give your heart to God, the source of life, and you will feel him strike again. And you must know that you have nothing to do to deserve life. Jesus offers it to you if you trust him.

If you want more help, contact us or you are looking for a church near you, a place with others who have found this life that Jesus offers.

Although we suffer in this life, Jesus frees us from eternal death and promises that one day God will wipe away all the tears in our eyes Will there be no death, sadness, weeping, pain since the old order passed?( Ap 21. 4).
