Part 2 of the series “The Art of War for Women”. Read part 1 here: The Enemy
When you go out to fight your enemies and see horses, chariot and more than you, you will not fear them; for the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you.
- As you approach the battle.
- The priest will come forward and speak to the people and say.
- “Listen Israel.
- Today.
- Approach the battle against your enemies; do not let your heart faint.
- Do not be afraid.
- Do not train.
- And be afraid of them because the Lord.
- Your God.
- Is the one who goes with you to fight against your enemies to save you.
- Deuteronomy 20: 1-4.
War siege occurs when the enemy cannot attack the target and besyath their opponent so that he is isolated, without a source of food, water, or contact with others outside the siege. This system aims to wipe out all sources of income. force the adversary to surrender to be subdued to the enemy and ultimately remain a slave.
During the siege, to speed up the surrender process, the enemy uses attack tactics. We’ll learn more about enemy siege tactics to prepare to win the war.
Creates a gap in one of the walls
Having listened to Sambalates, Tobias, Gesem, Arabia and the rest of our enemies that I had built the wall and that there was no gap in it, although until that point I had not put the doors in the portals, Sambalate and Gesem had said to me: Come, let us find ourselves, in the villages, in the Valley of Ono. But they tried to hurt me. Nehemiah 6. 1-2
Most cities, in ancient times, had their walls as their main defense and, with it, could survive a siege of about a year. Gaps in the wall allowed the enemy to enter the besieged area. several soldiers entered to facilitate attack and surrender. The gaps are the weakest points of a wall; these ruptures facilitate the widening of openings and the passage of enemies.
It’s time to ask: how are your walls?
Nehemiah, who built the walls of Jerusalem when the Jewish people were in captivity, placed guards in every part of the reconstruction, each in his post in front of his house (Ne 7:3), and there they guarded to prevent enemies from entering. through the gates of the city wall.
Nehemiah, even after closing the breaches in the wall, faced enemies who fought against Israel in three ways: bringing evil against him (Ne 6. 2-4); scare him (Born 6. 5-9); and destroying his reputation so that people will discredit his leadership (Do 6: 10-13). Know that even to close the gaps in our walls, we face adversity. When the enemy tries to hurt you, don’t give up, because we are more than conquerors in Christ; Do not be disturbed by fear (Deuteronomy 31,6). I emphasize the importance of walking together, united in the body of Christ, which brings us back to this question of having the Scriptures anchored in our hearts, that is, when the enemy of our soul wants to attack us with unbelief 😕 Is it written ?, and, finally, we know the attributes of our leader, the Lord of hosts, to have more confidence every day in his love, his power and his majesty.
Keeping gaps closed and guarded is an excellent defensive tactic, as well as being a corporate strategy, because every guard where the Lord has put it, we can keep all the doors simultaneously. Remember that we are part of the Body of Christ, each of us with his gifts and talents, together and vigilant. Ah, but Nehemiah used the greatest of all strategies: the Lord’s dependence on prayer kept him connected to his leader:
Now, O God, strengthen my hands. Nehemiah 6. 9
Have you monitored your borders? Frontier is a good place for us to sin, because we look outside the wall that surrounds us and protects us, towards the world, and, you know, our eyes lust (1Jn 3,16), they distract us from vigilance and PUMBA! on the forehead! We have fallen from the wall into the lap of sin! We turn away from the cross of Christ and return to captivity, slaves of sin.
The doors open to allow troops to enter. There was also, in medieval times, the tactic of several warriors forcing the doors with a tree trunk; they continued to attack until the gate relented and enemy warriors were able to enter the herds and attack the fortress from within. Beloved, there are a multitude of enemies who can walk through our doors and attack us from within; if one of them enters our citadel, the others end up finding a way in as well, then don’t let the flesh defeat the Spirit. Go and pray by grace.
I say, however: walk according to the Spirit and you will never satisfy the desires of the flesh. For the flesh militates against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh, for they oppose one other; so you don’t do what you want. Now the works of the flesh are known and are: prostitution, impurity, lust, idolatry, witchcraft, hostility, jealousy, jealousy, anger, discord, dissension, factions, envy, drunkenness, gluttony. and things similar to these, from which I declare to you, as I have already told you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom. Galatians 5. 16,17,19-21
Corrupt someone within the walls or infiltrate a spy who would then be in charge of opening the doors to the invading troops. In our case, sin entered through Adam:
Therefore, as sin entered the world for a man, and death by sin, so death passed to all men, for all sinned (Romans 5. 12).
The enemy is seductive, distorts the truth into lies to deceive us, always remember this!
But the Lord of armies conquered sin and gave us life
He freed us from the rule of darkness and transported us to the kingdom of the Son of his love, in which we have redemption, the remission of Colossus sins 1:13-14
Decaying corpses. Pay attention to this tactic, it’s scary, we have to redouble our attention here. Medieval warriors dumped rotten or plague-infected corpses at the fortress to spread the disease. In this tactic, we see how pollution develops.
Contagion through the dead can happen to us when we live systematically with the spiritual dead. The spiritual dead love the world and the things of the world, they are enemies of God, their values are distorted, they serve the enemy, and it is easy to become contaminated with their thoughts, attitudes, and desires if we walk more with the dead than with the reborn. Who have you had the most relationship with?
I don’t like the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love is not in him. 1 John 2:15
This, therefore, I say, and in the Lord I testify that they no longer walk as well as the Gentiles, in the vanity of their own thoughts, obscured in understanding, oblivious to God’s life because of the ignorance in which they live. , by the hardness of their hearts, who, desensitized, dissolve to commit with desire all kinds of impurities. Ephesians 4:17-19
Now, I want you to focus your attention on another kind of corpse that women can let rot inside their homes and contaminate their whole being. This corpse is to blame for the sins of the past. Ah, dear sheep, I know what it is, to try to hide a corpse under the carpet, it doesn’t fit at all, besides it stinks from afar! But, hallelujah, we have a holy lamb who made the perfect sacrifice, once and for all, to cleanse us of dead works. :
Therefore, if the blood of the goats and bulls and the ash of the heifer sprayed on the polluted, sanctifi them, as for the purification of the flesh, much more the blood of Christ, who by the Eternal Spirit offered himself unspotted. God will purify our conscience of dead works, to serve the living God!Hebrews 9: 13. 14
And again:
However, if we walk in the light, as it is in light, we maintain communion with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us of all sin; if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just. to forgive our sins and cleanse us of all injustice. 1Jean 1. 7. 9
Poisoned water was another tactic used by the enemy to close the siege and let the opponent die of thirst, you know, if you’re thirsty and the drinking water is scarce, you could end up drinking poisoned water to refuel. by the true sources of drinking water. So, I ask you, do you know how to recognize false teachers, ministers of false teachings, they put poison in their water source!Sheep, your Bible is the source of fresh water, seek the word of God, pray to the Holy Spirit, author of the scriptures, to grant you the understanding of the revealed word; it will give you the grace to continue to know their prescriptions without error.
Just as false prophets have appeared among the people, there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, to the point of denying the Sovereign Lord who saved you, causing sudden destruction. 2 Stone 2. 1
Hunger. Cutting food sources is also part of the enemy siege; no one survives without food. If you’ve been surrounded by the enemy for a long time, you run the risk of starvation and malnutrition will make you an easy target. You will be easily corrupted, you will also be able to surrender to the enemy and you will also be able to become a source of weakness for those around you, because they will have to take care of you so that you do not succumb. Sheep, I want to remind you that our food is the Bread of Life, Jesus. If you’re far from Christ, you’ll be hungry.
Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life; what comes to me will never be hungry John 6. 35
Christ is the head of the body, the church, where we operate collectively with other sheep, if you do not collaborate with the body of Christ you are very likely to underscave the body. Sheep, the Lord has given you gifts to serve the body, we are donors of God’s grace:
I have served one another, each according to the gift I have received, as good administrators of God’s multiple grace. 1 Stone 4. 10
Jesus was tempted in the wilderness after 40 days of fasting; He must have been very hungry at the time, but he was not corrupted, he did not sin, but he said to the tempter of our souls:
Jesus answered, “It is written: “Man shall live not only of bread, but of every word that comes out of the mouth of God. “Matthew 4. 4.
Sheep, if the Lord Jesus has given us his testimony that the word of God has supported him, the more we will be sustained by the holy word; Absorb the word, don’t be hungry!
Rest, sheep friend, when we fight alone, tiredness weakens us in many ways. The tired soldier does not reason well, he has a murky mind, slow reflexes, speech problems. The Lord gives us a rest: Jesus, Knowing Jesus gives us rest.
Come unto me all ye that are tired and overwhelmed, and I will relieve you; carry with my yoke and learn from me, that I am meek and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your soul. Matthew 28. 11. 29
Are you tired? Rest in Christ and follow me, sheep
There is a promise of eternal rest for those who believe in Jesus and obey His ordinances, although this day has not yet come, the promise must give us courage and confidence in future grace.
And against whom did you swear that you would not enter into your rest, but against those who disobeyed?Hebrews 3. 18
However, those of us who believe, have entered the rest. Hebrews 4. 3
Avoid enemy action during siege, resist, always stand firm in the Lord of armies, and the enemy will not withstand siege for long; will look for opponents that are easier to beat.
So feed yourself to God; but resist the devil, and he will run away from you. Santiago 4. 7
Go ahead, sheep!
To the Lord all honor and glory, today and always.
Our next war training will be to learn more about enemy territory.
Join here to see the battlefield!
Do 7. 3 And he said unto them, Do not open the gates of Jerusalem until the sun is warm, and while the guards are still there, let the gates close and remain silent; that the guards of the inhabitants of Jerusalem should stand, each in their post in front of their house.
Do 6. 2-4 Sambalate and Gesem sent to tell me: Come and meet us, in the villages, in the valley of Ono. But they tried to hurt me. I sent them messengers to tell them: I’m doing a great job, so I can’t come down; Why would I stop work while I went out and headed home?Four times they sent me the same order; but I’ve always given them the same answer.
Do 6. 10-13 When I went to the house of Shemaja, son of Delaja, son of Meetabel (which was closed), he said, Let us go together to the house of God, in the middle of the temple, and close the doors. temple; for they will come and kill you; In fact, at night, they’ll come and kill you, but I said, man, how could I run?And who, like me, can enter the temple to live there?Under no circumstances will I enter. Then I realized that it was not God who had sent him; such a prophecy spoke against me, for Tobias and Sambalate bribed him; for this they bribed him, to frighten me, for me to do it and sin, so that they might have reason to set me on fire and reproach me.
Deuteronomy 31. 6 Be strong and courageous, fear not or fear before them, for it is the Lord your God who accompanies you; he won’t leave you or leave you.
2. 16 Because everything in the world, the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes and the pride of life, do not come from the Father, but from the world.
