The fourth truth is irresistible grace or effective calling. The Father and the Son sent the Holy Ghost into the world to convince sin, to call and regenerate all the chosen. As the gospel is proclaimed in the world, the Spirit makes a special inner calling to those chosen by the Father: the Spirit rebuilds spiritually dead souls; resurrects the dead sinner from the spiritual tomb; grants repentance and faith. The Spirit opens his spiritually blind eyes to see the truth; open your deaf ears to hear the truth. Open your closed hearts to accept the truth. Activate dead truths to believe in the truth. Apply Christ’s saving death to the hearts of the chosen. It is god’s saving grace that is the Holy Spirit in time. [I]
