Answer now, you say: Today or tomorrow we go to that city and we’re going to spend a year there and we’re going to negotiate and we’ll take advantage of it, you don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow. What is your life, you are like a fog that appears for a moment and then dissipates. Santiago 4. 13. 14
Heavenly Father, Kobe Bryant’s death yesterday astonished, saddened, and denerged many of us. We’re even 41 years old and we already have 1000 times more than most people will have in life.
- However.
- The scriptures remind us that our lives are not very long.
- We look more like a mist than an old oak tree.
- You have counted our days; How do you expect us to live the rest of our lives.
- Father?.
In the light of the gospel, what should we spend more time doing and less time wasted?Change our prices? What have we postponed that really matters to you?Where in the history of Jesus’ redemption and restoration would you like us to invest more of ourselves?
Where should we spend more days and fewer worries, with whom do we have to spend time face to face and in our hearts, what relationships have we mistakenly claimed and exhausted ourselves mentally and emotionally?
Who do we continue to be held hostage with for our lack of forgiveness and our pain?Father, we know it’s not doing a better job on any of these things that we’ll deserve more from your love. None of these questions have an attachment. It is in the performance and record of Jesus that we boast.
BUT His grace frees us to ask the right questions and live a life that more honors Jesus, declares more of the gospel, and reveals more real freedom. Help us, my father, and be with the people most directly affected by Kobe Bryant’s death. Therefore, Amen and amen, we ask you, in the incomparable and magnificent name of Jesus.
