The advantage of serving God

Verse of the Day: They will be your servants, that they may know the difference between my servitude and the servitude of the kingdoms of the earth (2 Chronicles 12. 8).

Serving God is completely different from serving someone else.

  • God is extremely jealous for us to understand and appreciate this.
  • For example.
  • He commands us.
  • “Serve the Lord with joy?(Psalm 100.
  • 2).
  • There’s a reason for that joy.
  • This is given in Acts 17:25.
  • God is not served by human hands.
  • As if he needs something.
  • Because he himself is the one who gives everyone life.
  • Encouragement and everything?.

We serve you with joy, because we do not have the burden of meeting your needs, on the contrary, we rejoice in a service where God meets our needs. Serving God always means receiving God’s grace.

There is a story in 2 Chronicles 12 that shows how jealous God is for us to understand this and glorify him: Did Rehoboam, son of Solomon, who ruled the southern kingdom after the revolt of the ten tribes, leave the lord’s law?(2 Chronicles 12. 1). He chose to oppose the service of the lord and gave his service to other gods and kingdoms. In trial, God sent Sisac, king of Egypt, against Rehoboam with 1,200 tanks and 60,000 horsemen (2 Chronicles 12:2-3).

In mercy, God sent the prophet Semaia to Rehoboam with this message: “Thus said the Lord, Have you left me, why have I also left you to the power of Sisac?”that Rehoboam and his princes humbled themselves repentantly and said, “Is the Lord righteous?”(2 Chronicles 12. 6).

When the Lord saw that they had humbled themselves, He said, “They have humbled themselves, I will not destroy them; but will I help them soon, lest my fury be spread over Jerusalem through Shishak?” (2 Chronicles 12: 7). As a discipline for them, he said: “Will it be your servants, so that they know the difference between my servitude and the servitude of the kingdoms of the earth?” (2 Chronicles 12. 8).

The emphasis is clear: serving God is a gift, a blessing, a joy, and an advantage.

That is why I am so zealous to say that Sunday morning service and daily obedience service are not, in essence, a face offering to God, but a joyful gift from God.
