That of Christ’s love

Verse of the day: Father, my will is that where I am, those you have given me may also be with me, that they may see my glory (John 17:24).

Believers in Jesus are precious to God (we are his wife!) And he loves us so much that he won’t let our greatness become our god.

  • God really does a lot for us (adoption!).
  • But He does it in a way that frees us from ourselves to enjoy his greatness.

Examinez-vous. If Jesus came to spend the day with you, sat next to you on the couch and said, “I really love you,” what would you focus on the rest of the day you would spend together?

I realize that many songs and sermons give us the wrong answer, leave the impression that the culmination of our joy must be the recurring feeling of being loved. He loves me!?. It’s really joy, but not the climax or the accent.

What do we say in words? Am I loved ?? What do we mean? What is being loved?

The greatest joy and the one that exalts Christ the most would be not to observe Christ all day and exclaim, “You are wonderful! You’re wonderful!”

We walk with him completely surprised by what we see

Isn’t your love for us a desire to do for us all you must do (even die for us) so that we can marvel at him and not be consumed by him?Redemption, propitiation, forgiveness, justification and reconciliation?Everything must happen. These are the acts of love.

But the purpose of love, which makes these acts loving, is for us to be with Jesus, to see his awesome glory, and be amazed. In these moments, we forget ourselves and see and feel Jesus.

I therefore exhort pastors and teachers: Guide people through Christ’s acts of love for the purpose of their love. If redemption, propitiation, forgiveness, justification, and reconciliation do not lead us to the joy of Jesus Himself, it is not love.

Continue in that direction. That’s why Jesus prayed
