Suffering that crushes faith

Verse of the day: But they have no root in themselves, but are short-lived; when anguish or persecution comes to them because of their discourse, they are immediately outraged (Mark 4. 17).

The faith of some is crushed, rather than built, by suffering; Jesus knew it and described it here in the parable of the four floors. Some people hear the Word and receive it first with joy, but then suffering comes and causes it to fall. .

  • Therefore.
  • Affliction does not always strengthen faith.
  • Sometimes it crushes it.
  • And then Jesus’ paradoxical words come true: “What you don’t have.
  • Even what you have will be taken away from you?”(Mk 4:25).

It is a call for us to endure suffering with a firm faith in future grace, that our faith may be strengthened and not vain (1 Corinthians 15. 2). What did he do? (Mark 4. 25). Knowing God’s plan in suffering is one of the main ways to grow in the midst of suffering.

If you think that your suffering is useless, or that God does not control, or that it is capricious or cruel, then will your suffering take you away from God, rather than you, from anything but God?What should it look like? It is therefore crucial that faith in God’s grace understands the faith he bestows upon grace through suffering.
