And, crossing the Frigio-Galata region, having been prevented by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in Asia, in front of Misia, they tried to go to Bitinia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow it. Misia was overlooked, did they go down to Troas? (Acts 16:6-8).
The verses above describe Paul trying to go to certain places, however, the Holy Spirit of God does not allow it and takes him to Troas. In Troas, Paul has the vision (v. 9) of a man from the province of Macedonia saying: Come to Macedonia and help us!
- Do we know him? Ide? (Mark 16:15) is everyone’s duty and it’s not just about going to other countries.
- It’s about doing missions wherever we are.
- But there’s someone crying in Macedonia who says.
- Come help us!.
In addition, spend a period of your vacation or vacation to spend in “Macedonia” and contributing to the Lord’s work will surely bless you in abundance.
There are many reasons why I would recommend you go on a missionary trip, but there are some I would like to point out:
“Why is it not unjust to be forgotten of your work and the love you have shown by name, for you have served and always serve the saints?(Hebrews 6. 10).
To serve in god’s work, which aims to proclaim his kingdom, to show love to the God we follow, so making a missionary path is a way of expressing his love for him.
“Served one another, each according to the gift he has received, as good administrators of God’s multiple grace?(1 Peter 4:10).
The gifts we receive from God should be used for the benefit of others, I believe there is no better place to serve with your gifts than in the missionary field.
“I thought, however, that it was necessary to send you Epaphrodite, on the one hand, my brother, colleague and fellow wrestling; and, on the other hand, your messenger and your help in my needs?”(Philippians 2:25).
“I have received everything and have plenty; Am I provided, since Epafrodito gave me what came from you as a sweet scent, as a sacrifice I accept and accept God?(Philippians 4:18).
Be like Epaphrodite! I put this phrase in the draft of this text this Sunday afternoon and God used the preacher to talk about Epaprodite, verse 25 of Chapter 2 talks about the type of person who was Epaphrodite, a colleague and struggle, so I invite you to be a collaborator of the missionary you know, get the help they need, be prepared to teach others how to work with children , teens, youth, adults, train Sunday school teachers, principals, etc.
And how beautiful to read what Paul says in verse 18 of chapter 4!The need of missionary Paul was satisfied, epaphrodite’s offer was compared to a sweet fragrance offered to God, a sacrifice that God, in addition to accepting, was happy. How about taking your church offering to the missionary field?Talk to your pastor with your church missionary team, be available to be Epaphrodite, and eliminate your gifts and willingness to serve in the missionary field.
Because in the end I know you’ll feel happy like Paul
“I thank my God for all that I remember of you, always doing, with joy, supplications for all of you, in all my prayers, for your cooperation with the Gospel, from day one until now. I am absolutely sure that whoever there is, did a good work begin in you, will end it until the Day of Jesus Christ?(Philippians 1. 3-6).
Paul heard the voice that wept in Macedonia went there on a missionary journey, this trip generated the church of Philips, then this church sent Epaphrodite to Rome where Paul was imprisoned, this church always helped and supported Paul in missionary work.
