The New York Times editorial page regularly tells us what approach we should use in today’s leading morals. , legal or public policy issues. Richard Dawkins, atheist and British evolutionist, tells us how to think about our historical origins and our place in the universe.
- How do we filter out all these accusations?To answer these questions.
- People need some kind of standard.
- Standard.
- Or criteria they can use.
- In other words.
- We need maximum authority.
- Of course.
- Everyone has some kind of supreme rule to turn to.
- Whether or not they know what that rule will be.
- Some people use reason and logic to judge these claims of truth in competition.
- Others use a sense of experience.
- Others turn to themselves and their own subjective sense of things.
- Although there is some truth in each of these approaches.
- Christians have historically rejected them all as the definitive standard of knowledge; Instead.
- God’s people have universally stated that there is only one thing that can legitimately function as the supreme standard: the Word of God.
- There can be no higher authority than God Himself.
