Should the Lord be if God is omnipresent?

To seek the Lord means to seek his presence, Presence? It is a common translation of the Hebrew word “face”. Literally, you have to look for your face. But this is the Hebrew way of accessing God. To stand in front of your face is to be in your presence.

But aren’t your children always in your presence?Yes and no. Yes, in two ways: first, in the sense that God is omnipresent and therefore always close to everything and everyone, he keeps everything that exists. His power is always there to support and govern all things.

  • And secondly.
  • Yes.
  • He is always present with his children in the sense of the promise of his alliance to always be on our side and work for us and transform everything for our good.
  • “Behold.
  • Am I with you every day.
  • Until the end of time?(Matthew 28:20).

But there is a sense in which God’s presence is not always with us. For this reason, the Bible repeatedly calls us to “seek the Lord. “Seek your presence at all times? The manifestation of God, a conscious and trustworthy presence is not our constant experience. There are times when we become careless towards the Lord and do not even think of him, we do not trust him and we find him “un manifested”, that is, unnoticed. so great, beautiful and precious in the eyes of our hearts.

His face, the brilliity of his personal character, hides behind the curtain of our carnal desires. This condition is always ready to reach us. That’s why we’re told to “look for your presence all the time. “God calls us to enjoy the continuous awareness of his supreme greatness, beauty and courage.

This happens through “research. ” Continuous search. But what does this mean in practice? The Old and New Testaments say it is an “adjustment of mind and heart” in God. It is the conscious fixation or center of attention of our mind and the affection of our hearts in God.

“Now make your heart and soul available now to seek the Lord your God. (1 Chronicles 22:19)

Therefore, if you have already risen with Christ, look for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God; think of the things above, not those of the earth (Colossses 3:1-2).

This adjustment of the mind is the opposite of the mental shoulder. It is a conscious choice to direct the heart towards God. This is what Paul prays for the Church: “Now the Lord will guide your hearts in God’s charity and patience. From Christ? (2 Thessaloniki 3: 5) It is a conscious effort on our part, but this effort to seek God is a gift from God.

We do not make this mental and emotional effort to seek God because He is lost, we would do so to look for a coin or a sheep, but God is not lost. However, there is always something through which we must go to find him consciously. This passage or passage is what research means. He’s often hiding. Veiled, we have to go through mediators and obstacles.

The heavens proclaim the glory of God, so we can seek him through this, he reveals himself in his word. So we can look for him through that. He is shown to us in the evidence of grace in others. Then we can look for him through that. Research is the conscious effort to obtain from God a natural means: to constantly adjust our minds to God in all our experiences, to direct our minds and hearts to Him through his revelation. That’s what it means to seek God.

And there are infinite obstacles that we must overcome to see it clearly, to be in the light of his presence, we must flee from all spiritually clumsy activity. We have to get away from him and get around him, he’s blocking our way.

We know what makes us extremely sensitive to God’s apparitions in the world and in the word, and we know what numbs us and blinds us and does not even make us want to seek it. We need to get away from these things and get around him if we want to see God. This is what the search for God entails.

And when we direct our minds and hearts to God in all our experiences, we cry out to Him. That’s what it means to look for him too.

? Seek the Lord as long as he can find himself; summon him while he’s around?(Isaiah 55:6)

“If you seek God and pray for almighty mercy? (Job 8:5)

Seeking implies calling and pleading. Lord, open my eyes, Lord, open the curtain of my own blindness, Lord, have mercy and reveal yourself. I really want to see your face.

The greatest obstacle to the Lord’s quest is pride. “In the pride of his face, the villain does not seek him (Psalm 10:4). Humility is therefore essential to seeking the Lord.

The great promise to those who seek the Lord is that they will find Him. “If you look for it, you’ll find it from you. (1 Chronicles 28:9). And when they find him, there is a good reward”. Who approaches God, believes that he exists and rewards those who seek Him?(Hebrews 11:6). God Himself is our greatest reward, and when we have him, we have it all. Therefore, seek the Lord and his strength; constantly seek his presence?
