Verse of the day: And it shall come to come to the place where you were told, You are not my people, you will be told, You are children of the living God (Osseas 1. 10).
God’s sovereign grace can turn strangers into children; and the Lord declares his purpose in this verse by treating the rebels in this way and letting them know what He has accomplished. Dear reader, the Lord has done this in my life; Has he ever done that to you?Let us unite our hands and our hearts to praise your beautiful name.
- Some of us were so decidedly evil that the Word of the Lord really said to our hearts and consciences.
- “You are not my people.
- “In the house of God and in our homes.
- When we read the Bible.
- This was the message of the Spirit of God addressing our souls: “You are not my people.
- “It was a really sad and overwhelming message.
Now, from this same passage of Scripture and through the very servant of God, we hear a voice that says, “You are children of the living God. “Can we be completely grateful for such truths?Does this verse give us hope when it comes to others?Who is beyond the reach of omnipotent grace? How can we despair at the situation of an individual, for the Lord Himself has made a wonderful transformation in us?
Whoever has fulfilled this great promise will keep all others, so let us move forward with hymns of worship and trust.
