Verse of the day: Praise the glory of his grace, which he gave us free of charge in the Beloved (Ephesians 1. 6).
What a privilege! This includes our justification before God. But the term? Awarded for free? it means more than that. This means that we are objects of divine pleasure, or even more of divine enchantment. How wonderful are we? worms, mortals, sinners? We have been objects of God’s love! However, this only occurs “in the beloved. ” Some believers seem to be accepted by God solely on the basis of personal experience; after all, it is your concern. When their minds are excited and their hopes shine, they think that God accepts them, because they feel so high, so spiritual, so above earthly things! But when their soul is prostrated in the dust, they become victims of the fear of not being accepted by God. These believers must understand that not all of their highest joys elevate them before God and that all their deep discouragement does not diminish them in God’s eyes. They remain accepted in the One who never changes, in the One who is always the Beloved of God, always perfect, always immaculate and immaculate. How much happier they would be and how much more would they honor the Savior if they understood this truth! Believer, rejoice! Look at yourself and say, “There is nothing acceptable about me. ” So look at Christ and see that in Him everything is pleasing to God. If your sin worries you, God will cast you behind his back and accept you as righteous. You have to fight against corruption and temptation, but this is already accepted in the One who conquered the powers of evil. If you are tempted by the devil, stay in a good mood; because it is accepted in the One who walked on the head of the serpent, who cannot destroy you. Know, surely, your glorious position. Even the souls of glorified believers are no more accepted than you. They are accepted in heaven, only “in the Beloved”, and you too are now accepted in Christ.
