Verse of the day: Partners of a divine nature. (2 Peter 1. 4)

Of course, participating in the divine nature does not mean becoming God. It is impossible. The creature cannot participate in the essence of Divinity. As far as essence is concerned, there must be a gulf between the creature and the Deity. The first man, Adam, was created in the image of God; We too, through the regeneration of the Holy Spirit, are created, in the divine sense, in the image of the Most High, becoming participants in the divine nature. We are, by grace, made like God. ?God is love?; ? and is he who loves born of God? (1 John 4:16, 7). God is true; we become real and we love the real. God is good and makes us good by his grace, so that we are pure in heart so that they see God (see Matthew 5. 8). In addition, we become “partners in the divine nature. ” in an even higher sense than that? in fact, in as sublime a sense as one can imagine, almost absolutely divine. Do we not become members of the divine body of Christ? The blood that flows in the head is the same that flows in the hands. The life that is manifested in Christ is the same life that gives life to his people, “because you are dead and your life is hidden with Christ in God. ” (Colossians 3. 3). And if that’s not enough, we are married to Christ. He married us to himself in justice and fidelity; and the one who is united to the Lord is one with him. What an admirable mystery! We have examined this mystery, but who can understand it? One with Jesus, so united to Him that the branch of a vine can no longer be united to its trunk, since we are part of the Lord Jesus, our Redeemer and Savior. As we rejoice in this fact, let us remember that all partners in the divine nature will manifest this holy and elevated relationship in their fellowship with one another. By their speech and behavior, it will be evident that they have escaped the corruption of the passions in the world (see 2 Peter 1. 4). Oh that we have more holiness of life!
