Verse of the day: You have been a refuge and a strong tower against the enemy (Psalm 61. 3).
Who could be, besides the second Adam, the Lord of heaven, the Man of Sorrows, the Son of Man?What a precious refuge it has been for your people! He himself sustains the full force of the wind and thus protects those who hide. In this way, we have escaped the wrath of God and will escape the wrath of men, the worries of this life, and the terror of death. Why do we stay in the wind when we can safely escape it by hiding in the Lord?Today, let’s run to him and be at peace.
- Often.
- The usual winds of the test rise.
- In their strength.
- And become a storm.
- Sweeping everything in front of them.
- Things that seemed firm and unwavering tremble in the gust of wind; and there are many drops in our carnal confidence.
- Our Lord Jesus.
- The glorious man.
- Is a refuge that can never be brought down.
- In Christ.
- We can contemplate the storm by razing everything and rest in a delicious serenity.
On this day, let us take refuge in our hiding place, let us sit and sing under the protection of our Refuge. Blessed Jesus! Blessed Jesus! How we love you! And we do it safe, because you are a refuge from the storm.
