[Reformanda] SINGLE SCRIPTURA: The Root of the Gospel (3)

CHAPTER 1: THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

1. La Sacred Scripture is the only rule of sufficient, sure, and infallible knowledge for salvation, faith, and obedience. 1 The light of nature and the works of creation and providence manifest God’s goodness, wisdom, and power, so men are unforgivable; however, they are not enough to give the knowledge of God and His will that is necessary for salvation.

  • Therefore.
  • At different times and in different ways.
  • The Lord was used to reveal himself and declare his will to his church.
  • 3 And for the best preservation and spread of truth.
  • And the safer establishment and comfort of the Church.
  • Against the corruption of the flesh and evil of Satan and the world.
  • Also served to write down all this knowledge of God and the revelation of God.
  • His will to save; which makes Scripture indispensable.
  • Having ceased these ancient forms by which God revealed his will to his people.

2 Timothy 3:15-17: And that from your childhood you may know the sacred letters that can make you wise for salvation by faith in Jesus Christ All Scripture is inspired by God and useful to teach, to rebuke, to correct, to educate in righteousness. , so that the man of God may be perfect and perfectly qualified for all good deeds.

Is. 8. 20: To law and testimony! If you don’t talk like that, you’ll never see in the morning.

Lk 16. 29,31—Abraham answered: They have Moses and the prophets; Listen to us, but Abraham said, If you do not listen to Moses and the prophets, you will not be persuaded either, even if someone rises from the dead.

Ef. 2. 20 😕 Built on the basis of apostles and prophets, the cornerstone being Christ Jesus himself; ?

Rom. 1. 19-21: “For what God can know manifests among them, for God has manifested them. For the invisible attributes of God, as well as his eternal power as well as his own divinity, are clearly recognized from the beginning of The World, being perceived through the things that have been created; such men, therefore, are inexcusable; because having the knowledge of God, they did not glorify him as God, nor did they thank Him, but are emptied in their own reasoning, their foolish hearts darkened.

Rm. 2. 14,15:? When Gentiles, who have no law, act by nature according to the law, without having law, they use the law for themselves; they show the standard of the law engraved in their hearts, also bearing witness to their conscience and thoughts by accusing or defending each other;

Psalm 19,1-3: The heavens proclaim the glory of God, and the firmament announces the works of his hands. One day he speaks, the other day, and one night reveals knowledge the other night. There is no language, no words, no sonidos. se listening;

Heb. 1. 1: When God spoke once many times, and in many ways, to parents, through prophets;

Pv. 22. 19-21: For your trust to be in the Lord, today I want to instruct you. Haven’t I written you some great things about guidance and knowledge, to show you the certainty of words of truth, so that you can clearly respond to those who send you?

Rom 15. 4: For all that was written once, for our teaching was written, that with the patience and comfort of the scriptures we may hope.

We therefore have the prophetic word all the more confirmed, and you do well to pay attention to it, as a lamp that shines in a dark place, until the day is cleared and the morning star is born in your hearts; knowing, first, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from a particular eludation;
