Read with us classics of Christian literature

Today we begin a new type of article on Let’s Go to the Gospel: Let’s go back to the classics (thank you Matheus Limeira for the title idea and I confess I stole the idea from Challies).

What is it? Simple, we will read and discuss together a book that is a classic of Christian literature. We’ll read an excerpt during the week and discuss it in an article next week.

  • Why would you do that? Several reasons: (1) so that we can grow together for the glory of God.
  • (2) to encourage reading.
  • And (3) to recommend classic books of the Christian faith.

Start? We will start with a small book available for free download in Fiel, to facilitate, not all of them can be available as an ebook, if this is the case given the delivery time of the post, we will inform you in advance what the next book is: Born Slave to Martin Luther.

What should you do? Read up to page 41 of the book Nascido Escravo. Note three objectives: (1) summarize the content, (2) highlight what caught your eye, and (3) highlight what you disagree with. of the book, write in it and customize it. If you plan to use the eBook, take your notes from a text editor (Word, Notebook, etc. ) and don’t forget to save.

When are we going to talk about this first reading? In the post that will be released next Tuesday, February 4.

Chapter 1: The Free Will? Nothing is just a slave to sin, death, and Satan.
