When we talk about pre-sex, caressing, masturbation and pornography, the main question many ask themselves is: “Is it a sin?”I think this questioning is quite common, even if a convincing response is overlooked generation after generation. humbly, I want to deal with this in an intellectually honest way and get right to the point, without any formality, using four key texts, believing that no one can deny the truth of the scriptures.
“But I say to singles and widows: well, they remain like me; but if they can’t contain themselves, get married. Why is it better to get married than to burn? (1 Co 7: 8. 9).
- Does Paul’s reasoning be quite simple.
- In the midst of his teaching he leaves a small and very important advice on sexual desire.
- Although I hoped these people would not get married.
- I knew that some would feel strong desires.
- At the risk that someone would not be able to “contain” them.
- What should these people do?Masturbation to relieve?Pornography to relax a little?Give him a? In the bride? Nothing like that.
- Paulo only has two options for those who are unable to overcome his desire: at home or?What other translations do they put as “burning with desire”.
The text is very clear, even if we don’t read it most of the time with due attention. Do you have uncontrollable sexual desires, do you feel like an abyss of lust and are you ready to explode?God only allows you to make two choices: continue like this or get married?Responding to all your desires in the way He taught.
Venerated be all marriage and impeccable bed; But will those who engage in prostitution and adultery judge them?(He. 13:4).
This text requires a little more attention. The writer uses language that can go unnoticed in our eyes if we are not careful. This text is mainly about sex. We have a clear order to worship, that is, to honor two interchangeable sexual environments. First, marriage; second, in a flawless bed. He then explains that God will judge those who live a sexuality opposed to what should be honored, that is, those who live in prostitution and those who live in adultery. We see, without much effort, that marriage contrasts with prostitution and the bed without tacha, with adultery. Let’s look at these two oppositions.
The second opposition is simple: do we realize that when we commit adultery, that is, we betray our spouses, we sin against the immaculate bed?Which, according to the text, can only be the bed of a marriage proper. In words, any sexual relationship outside of their partner’s bed is adultery (even those who do not leave the field of mind and heart, according to Matthew 5: 27. 28). The first opposition, on the other hand, is what attracts our attention in a more specific way: sexual activities outside marriage are considered an act of prostitution. Are all sex that doesn’t happen in a marriage an attitude of prostitution?and worthy of God’s judgment.
Dude, any sexual attitude that occurs outside of marriage is considered, in this part of the letter to the Hebrews, to be an act of prostitution. Sacred Scripture commands, “Execute prostitution,” adding, “Whatever sin a man commits is out of the body, but what if a prostitute sins against his own body?(1 Corinthians 6:18) Flee any attitude of prostitute, avoid any sexual acts that take place outside of marriage.
“Son of a man, there were two women, daughters of the same mother. They prostituted themselves in Egypt, dedicating themselves to prostitution from their youth. Have your breasts been stroked and your virgin breasts caressed in this country?(Eze 23: 2. 3) .
The text is very simple. God tells Ezekiel the story of two sisters on the maternal side who engaged in prostitution in Egyptian lands, even when they were young. The main point that God points out about the prostitution of these girls is that “their breasts have been caressed and their virgin have stroked their breasts. “Girls, if the Lord treats you? You touch your boyfriend as an act of prostitution, how about fighting him fighting sex himself? Before God, it is the same sin.
“Did I make a deal with my eyes so as not to look at the girls in lust?”(Work 31:1)
The scriptures bear testimony of Job, saying that he was a “righteous, just, God-fearing man,” who turned away from evil?(1: 1). The Lord himself said that there was no one on earth like him, a whole and righteous man, who feared God and turned away from evil (1:8). Knowing the qualities God has given this servant, we see an example of this in chapter 31 of the book that tells his story. Job, exhibiting his own works of justice, says he made a pact with himself so as not to “look at the girls with lust. “Matthew 5:27. 28 makes it clear that coveting someone is, in itself, an act of adultery.
How, in the face of this act of Job, can we try to defend pornography as acceptable? We cannot in any way give in to our carnal wills that preach to our minds, saying that the mere act of observing does not hurt. the psalmist: “Shall I not put anything bad in my eyes? (Ps 101: 3).
What do these four biblical texts teach us?
We see in Paul’s first letter to the Christians of the city of Corinth that we have only two choices regarding our desires: to marry (which is advisable) or to burn with desire. Masturbation, pornography or touching are not options; or at home, or it burns.
We can see in the Text of the Hebrews that any sexual act that takes place outside of marriage is prostitution; and that any sexual act other than with your spouse is adultery. Therefore, any self-erosion, pre-nenptial sex, pre-games and even masturbating when your wife is not in the sexual humor are attitudes worthy of the judgment of the Holy God.
We realize Ezekiel’s prophecy that touching girls badly is a sin of prostitution, showing at least that the relationship between a single couple should never be just loving kisses and caresses.
Finally, Job teaches us, with his own life, not to covet girls (or boys, accordingly); leading us to realize that pornography or voyerism are acts of sin that must be mortified in our lives.
So, buddy, take the time to take care of all this. You may have already regarded these acts as sins, so ponder these texts more and confirm the truths you already knew; If you do not have the sexual sins that have been presented here as true sinners, read carefully and prayerfully the biblical texts presented here. Abandon the truths presented in the scriptures and live the will of the Father.
Note: I know that this topic is painful for most young people, treating these sins with indifference and little compassion is an irresponsible attitude worthy of severe judgment, do not use these truths without love, and do not use love as an excuse to belittle the truth. This text may fall into this condemnation, but it is the fault of its more technical nature. See rule, sweetness is the best way to treat the slaves of this sin. Don’t forget it.
