[PVE] Last days: wake up or apostasy?

Peace brothers! We have always heard in our lives talk about the rebirth of the last days. What really guarantees the rebirth of the Church in the last days?Is this awakening general? Local? Individual?

Contrary to what many Christians think, when Scripture mentions “last times,” “the last days,” and similar terms, it refers to the whole history of the world since the first coming of Jesus Christ and not just to the last moments in history. before his second coming.

  • In the Acts of the Apostles.
  • However.
  • Peter.
  • Standing with the eleven.
  • Raised his voice and said unto them.
  • Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem.
  • Let him know and hear my words.
  • These men aren’t drunk.
  • As you think.
  • This being the third hour of the day.
  • But this is what the prophet Joel said: And in the last days shall come.
  • Said God.
  • That I will spread of my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and daughters will prophesy.
  • Your youth will have visions.
  • And your old dreams will dream; And will I also spread my Spirit upon my servants and servants in those days.
  • And they will prophesy?(Acts 2: 14-18) Peter mentions that Joel had prophesied that the outpouring of the Spirit would occur in the last days.
  • Result.
  • The last few days had already arrived.

In his letter, Peter says: ?? knowing that it is not with corruptible things, such as silver or gold, that you were saved from your vain lifestyle, which you traditionally received from your parents, but with precious blood, like a lamb unspotted and unspotted, the blood of Christ. , which, in fact, was known even before the foundation of the world, but manifested itself at the end of time for you?(1 Stone 1. 18-20) Peter reminds Christians that they were not saved for money, but by atonement. sacrifice of Jesus Christ. This happened, Peter says, at the end of time.

In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul writes, “All this has happened to them as an example, and it was written for our warning, for those who have come the end of the centuries” (1 Corinthians 10. 11). Paul mentions that he and his contemporaries had already reached the end of the centuries. He could not speak of the last moments in the history of the world, long before the coming of Jesus Christ because he wrote it about twenty centuries ago.

In his letter to Timothy, he writes, “However, you know this, painful times will come in the last days; because men will be in love with themselves, greedy, presumptuous, proud, blasphemous, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, ungodly, without natural affection, relentless, slanderous, incontinent, cruel, enemies of good, traitors, bold, proud, more friends of pleasure than friends of God, who have the appearance of mercy. Stay away from them too. By this number are those who enter the houses and take captives of the sinless madmen, carried by various lusts; still learning, but never attaining full knowledge of the truth (II Timothy 3:1-7). he says it would happen in the last few days is what had already begun to happen in his time, because he mentions such men that he said he would come lately as already active and even orders Timothy to stay away from them.

When the Bible speaks lately or in the last days, the premise is that human history focuses on the person of Jesus Christ; when we speak in the early days, there is a reference to the whole story before the coming of Jesus Christ. When we talk about recent times, there is a reference through history after the coming of Jesus Christ, as Isaiah prophesied:

“But the land which has been afflicted shall not be blackened; in the early days he poisoned the land of Zabulon and the land of Nephtalí; but lately it has bothered her by the sea, on the other side of Jordan, in the Galilee of nations. “People walking in the dark saw a great light, and the light shone upon those who lived in the shadow region of death?Because we were born a child, a son gave himself to us and the principality is on his shoulders. , and his name shall be called: Admirable, counsellor, strong God, father of eternity, prince of peace. There will be no end, on the throne of David and in his kingdom, to affirm and strengthen him with judgment and justice, now and forever; Will this make the Zeal of the Lord of Armies?(Isaiah 9:1-2,6-7)

The Gospel of Matthew speaks of accomplishments

“And leaving Nazareth, he moved to Capernaum, a coastal city on the edge of Zabulon and Nephtalí; that what the prophet Isaiah said, who said: The land of Zabulon and the land of Nephtalí, by the way of the sea, on the other side of Jordan, the Galilee of nations, would be fulfilled; the people who were sitting in darkness saw a great light; and to those who were seated in the region and in the shadow of death, the light rose. began to preach and say, Repent, why did the kingdom of heaven come?(Matthew 4:13-17)

The reason why many think that when Scripture mentions the last days, it refers to the last moments in history before the Second Coming of Christ, is that the word days refers, for many, it necessarily seems to refer to a short period of time. But the use of the word by the Bible itself shows that it does not necessarily indicate a short period of time, but may refer to a period of several centuries in duration. We see it in the first chapters of Genesis: “And Every day Adam lived nine hundred and thirty years and died” (Genesis 5:5). All in the genealogy of Genesis 5 lived for several centuries. What about the word days? Hebrew yom?is used to refer to this long period.

Thus, in recent years there have been many awakenings and many apostasies, let us pray to God to send us the alarm clock.
