7. No let us fall into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
And, Lord, since there is an inclination in us to turn away from You (Hos 11: 7), so that when our sins are forgiven, we are ready to fall back into madness (Ps 85: 8), we pray that only You you forgive us our debts, but watch over us so that we do not commit injustices again (Job 34:32). Lord, don’t let us fall into temptation. We know that no one, when tempted, can say that he is tempted by God, because God himself does not try (James 1:13); but we also know that God can make us abound in all grace (2Co 9. 8), prevent us from stumbling and present ourselves immaculate (Jd 24). Therefore, we pray that you never let us walk in the stubbornness of our hearts, following our own advice (Ps 81,12); on the contrary, it stops Satan, that roaring lion who is looking for someone to devour (1P 5,8), and grant us not to ignore his designs (2Co 2. 11). Oh, that Satan does not ask us to sift like wheat, and that our faith does not fail (Lk 22,31,32). Let the messengers of Satan not be allowed to slap us; but if they do, may your grace suffice for us, so that when we are weak we will be strong (2 Cor. 12: 7,9-10), and we will be more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Rom. 8,37) . And may the God of peace soon crush Satan under our feet (Rom. 16:20). And since our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities and powers and against the rulers of this dark world, may we be strengthened in the Lord and in the strength of his power (Ephesians 6:12, 10).
- Lord.
- Grant us never to fall into temptation (Mt 26:41); but that after praying.
- We can put custody (Born 4.
- 9); and that your wisdom and good providence thus command all our concerns and all the events concerning us.
- That no temptation that is not human will happen to us.
- And that we may never be tempted beyond our strength to discern.
- Resist.
- And overcome by the grace of God (1Co 10.
- 13) Lord.
- Do not stumble before us.
- That we may fall and perish (Jeremiah 6.
- 21).
- Let nothing be a scandal for us (Rom.
- 14.
- 13); On the contrary.
- Give us the great peace that those who love your law have; there are no obstacles for them (Salt 119.
- 165).
And guide us, we plead with you, in all truth (Jn 16:13); Guide us in your truth and show us, for you are the God of our salvation. Make us, Eternal, your ways, show us your ways (Ps 25:4,5), the paths of righteousness; Guide us on these paths because of your name, that we may be led into the waters of rest (Ps 23:2, 3).
And deliver us from evil, we plead with you; Keep us, unless the evil one touches us (1 John 5:18), let us not sow his tares in the field of our hearts (Mt 13:25), let us not be deceived by his traps or wounded by his burning darts (Ephesians 6. 11. 16); May the word of God remain in us, that we may be strong and defeat the Evil One (1 John 2:14).
Deliver us from all evil, we pray you, that we may not do harm (2Co 13. 7): O deliver us from all evil deeds (2 Tim 4:18); Deliver us from our sins (Mt 1:21); redeems us from all iniquity (Titus 2:14), especially from sin that tenaciously harasses us (Hebrews 12:1). Deliver us from pride (Job 33:17); Save us the way of lies (Psalm 119:29); that we do not eat the delights of sinners (Ps 141:4); bow our hearts to your testimony and not to greed (Salt 119:36); and prevents us from talking without thinking (Salt 106:33); But above all your pride, keep your servants, do not dominate us (See 19:13).
Let us know, we ask you, that no evil happen to us (Salt 91:10); and save us from evil, so that it does not harm us (Salt 121,7). O Savior of those who seek refuge to your right, show the wonders of your goodness, and keep us as the child of the eyes, hide us in the shadow of your wings (Psalm 17:7, 8); (2TTB 1. 12). You who gave us up, please deliver; and we wait and pray that you will deliver us again (2Co 1. 10), deliver us from all our fears (Ps 34:4). Oh, make us live safely and let us be calm and fearless of evil (Pr 1:33). Take us safely in your holy mount, where there will be no more thorns stinging, no thorns causing pain (Ez 28:24), where there will be no evil or evil (Is 11:9).
