Ours is God’s enthusiasm

Verse of the day: I will make with them an eternal covenant, according to which I will not stop doing them good; and I will put my fear in your heart, so that they never depart from me. I will rejoice and do you good; I will plant them firmly on this earth, with all my heart and soul (Jeremiah 32:40-41).

The search for God for our praise and our search for pleasure in Him is the same quest. God’s desire to be glorified and our desire to be satisfied achieve its purpose in this unique experience: our pleasure in God, which is full of praise.

For God, praise is the sweet echo of his own excellence in the hearts of his people.

For us, praise is the end of the satisfaction that comes from living in communion with God.

The impressive implication of this discovery is that all the omnipotent power that directs God’s heart to seek its own glory also leads God to satisfy the hearts of those who seek his joy in him.

The good news of the Bible is that God in no way resists satisfying the hearts of those who wait in Him, but on the contrary: precisely what can make us happier is that in which God rejoices with all his heart. Soul.

With all his heart and soul, God joins us in the search for our eternal joy, because the total consumption of this joy in him leads to the glory of his own infinite excellence.
