Combating idolatry requires us to have a new life, so the new life in Christ will be our strength and our main means of transformation, we can only stop loving an idol when we replace that love with another love, this love of worship must be directed when we look at Christ, we can see his perfection, his meekness, his obedience and imitate him and transform our hearts into an altar of worship , then the idol will have no place and the altar of the living God will occupy our lives.
