The Seminar of Suffering
Verse of the day: Bathe my grace, for power is fulfilled in weakness (2 Corinthians 12,9).
- This is God’s universal goal for all Christian suffering: more contentment in God and less satisfaction in oneself and in the world.
- I’ve never heard anyone say.
- “The really profound lessons of life have gone through moments of tranquility and comfort.
- “.
But I have heard strong Saints say, “All the significant progress I have made to understand the depths of God’s love and grow deeply with him has come through suffering. “
The pearl of greatest value is the glory of Christ
That is why Paul emphasizes that our sufferings magnify the glory of Christ’s grace. If we trust in Christ in our calamity and that he sustains our “joy in hope”, then it becomes clear that he is a God of grace and strength that fully satisfies us.
If we cling to Jesus, when everything around us collapses, we show that He is more desirable than anything we have lost.
Christ said to the suffering Apostle, “Put on my grace, for power is fulfilled in weakness. “To which Paul replied, “Of course, then I will glor glory more in weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. I am therefore pleased with weaknesses, insults, needs, persecutions, anxieties, for Christ’s sake. Why, when I’m weak, am I strong? (2 Corinthians 12: 9-10).
Therefore, suffering is clearly determined by God, not only as a means of keeping Christians away from themselves and feeding them in grace, but also as a means of showing that grace and making it shine. grace of Christ.
