October 30th? Daily devotion CHARLES SPURGEON

Verse of the day: I will praise you, Lord. (Psalm 9. 1)

Praise must always accompany the answered prayer, just as the fog of earthly gratitude rises when the rays of love of the heavenly sun warm the earth. Did the Lord thank you, bowing your ears to the voice of your cry?you live. Do not fail to praise the One who answered your call and fulfilled the desire of your heart; to silence before God’s mercy means to incur the error of ingratitude; this is tantamount to acting as despicably as the nine lepers, who, after being cured of leprosy, did not thank the Lord again for giving them full health.

  • Praise.
  • Like prayer.
  • Is one of the noblest ways to promote the growth of spiritual life.
  • Help us remove burdens.
  • Show hope.
  • And increase faith.
  • Praise is a healthy and empowering exercise that renews the pulse of the believer and prepares him for new endeavors in the service of his Lord.
  • Blessing God for the mercies received is also the way to benefit our fellow men; “Will the meek hear and rejoice? (Psalm 34.
  • 2).
  • Others.
  • Who have been through similar circumstances.
  • Will be comforted when we say to them.
  • “Make the Lord great and let us all exalt his name in unison.
  • ” This afflicted man cried out.
  • And the LORD heard him.
  • And delivered him out of all his troubles.
  • (Psalm 34: 3.
  • 6).
  • Disheartened hearts will be strengthened and downcast believers will be encouraged when they hear our songs of deliverance (Psalm 32: 7).
  • Will their doubts and fears be rebuked.
  • As we teach and warn one another.
  • With psalms.
  • Hymns.
  • And spiritual songs? (Colossians 3:16).
  • Will they also sing of the ways of the Lord? (Psalm 138.
  • 5) when they hear us magnify his holy name.
  • Praise is the holiest of Christian obligations.
  • The angels do not pray.
  • But they do not stop praising the day and the night; and the redeemed.
  • Clothed in white.
  • Palm fronds in hand.
  • Never tire of singing the new song: “Worthy is the Lamb?” (Revelation 5.
  • 12).
