Verse of the day: because of the truth that remains in us and with us, it will be forever (2 John 2).
If the truth of God enters the heart of man and subdues him to himself, no power, human or hell, can drive him out. We do not receive him as a simple guest, but as the owner of the house, this is one of the needs of the believer. Those who feel the vital power of the gospel and know the power of the Holy Spirit in opening, applying, and sealing the Word of the Lord, will soon be broken, instead of feeling the desire to abandon the gospel of their salvation. . Countless mercies are involved in the certainty that the truth will be with us forever; this certainty will be our protection in life, our comfort in death, our song of ascension, our eternal glory. It is the privilege of the believer; Without the assurance of the presence of truth, our faith would have little value. When we matured, we left some truths behind as they were just the basics and lessons for beginners. But we don’t have to do that to God’s truth. Although the Word of God is a pleasant food for babies, it is, in the highest sense, meat for adults. The truth that we are sinners hurts us; however, this truth humbles us and makes us vigilant. The most blessed truth, that all who believe in the Lord Jesus will be saved, remains with us as our joy and our hope. The reasons and reasons to believe are now stronger and more numerous than before; and we have reason to hope so, until in death we embrace the Lord. We are forced to exercise our love where the love of permanent truth is found. No short period can contain our graceful harmony; as broad as the choice of grace must be our communion of heart. Many errors can be mixed with the received truth. Let us fight against error, but let us continue to love our brothers for the measure of truth that we perceive in them. Above all, let us love and spread the truth ourselves!
