Verse of the day: Amathsia said to the man of God, What will be done with the hundred talents of money I have given to the troops of Israel?God’s man replied, “The Lord can give you more than that. “2 Chronicles 25. 9)
It was a very important question for the king of Judah; And perhaps it is even more important to the believer who is being tried and judged. Losing money is not pleasant at all, and when a principle is at stake, the meat is not always ready to make the sacrifice. “Why are we losing what can be useful to us? What will we do without it? Do you remember the children and our small salary? All these arguments and thousands more will tempt the believer to open his hand for unfair gain or prevent him from following his Christian beliefs when they involve great loss. Not everyone can see these problems in the light of faith; and even among the disciples of Jesus the doctrine of “should we live?” it has a very sufficient value. “Can the Lord give you much more than this? is a very satisfactory answer on this subject at hand. Our Father is in control of money. What we lose for you, He can give us a thousand times more. It is our duty to obey your will. If we do the will of our Father, we can be sure that he will give us what we need. The Lord does not owe man. Believers know that a grain of peace of mind is worth more than a ton of gold. He who rolls up a worn cloak in good conscience has acquired a spiritual wealth far more desirable than anything he has lost. God’s smile in a prison is enough for a true believer, but his scowl in a palace would be hell for that person. May everything go from bad to worse, may all talents run out and we have not yet lost our treasure; it is in heaven, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Meanwhile, at this time, the Lord is causing the meek to inherit the earth (Matthew 5. 5) and? Does no good escape those who walk in justice? (Psalm 84. 11).
