How to exalt God
Verse of the day: I will praise God’s name with chants, praise him with thanksgiving (Psalm 69. 30).
- There are two ways to enlarge: enlarge with the microscope and enlarge with the telescope.
- We make something look smaller than it is.
- The other fact is that something big is starting to look as big as it really is.
When David says, “I will exalt Him [to God] with thanksgiving,” he does not mean, “I will make a small God look greater than him. “David means, “I will make a great God begin to be considered as great as it really is. “
We are not called to be microscopes, but telescopes, Christians are not called to be deceptive men who disproportionately exalt their product in relation to reality, when they know that the product of competition is much better, there is nothing and no one superior to God. Therefore, the call of those who love God is to make their greatness begin to look as great as it really is.
The whole duty of the Christian can be summed up in this: to feel, to think and to act in a way that makes God look as great as he really is. May the world be a telescope of the infinite and resplendent richness of God’s glory.
This is the meaning of a Christian exalting God, but you cannot exalt what you have not imagined or what you quickly forget.
Therefore, our first task is to see and remember God’s greatness and goodness. That is why we pray to God, “Open the eyes of my heart,” and preach to our souls, “Soul, do not forget one of his blessings. “
