The seriousness of gratitude
Verse of the day: However, you know: in the last days difficult times will come, because men will be selfish, greedy, boastful, arrogant, blasphemous, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful. (2 Timothy 3: 1-2)
Watch ingratitude accompany pride, blasphemy, and insubordination
Elsewhere, Paul said, “No clumsy conversations, no vain words or ramblings?” on the contrary, thanksgiving?(Ephesians 5. 4) It seems, therefore, that gratitude is the opposite of dishonor and violence.
The reason is that the feeling of gratitude is humble, not proud. Gratitude is exalting the other, not oneself. He is joyful in the soul, neither angry nor bitter.
The key to freeing a grateful heart and overcoming bitterness, dishonor, disrespect and violence is a strong trust in God, the creator, support, the provider, and the giver of hope. If we do not believe that we are deeply indebted to God all that we have or hope to have, then the very source of gratitude has dried up.
I therefore conclude that the rise of violence, sacrilege, dishonor and insubordination in recent times is a matter of God. The fundamental problem is not feeling gratitude at the highest level of our addiction.
When the high source of gratitude to God fails at the top of the mountain, soon all reservoirs of gratitude begin to dry out further down the mountain. And when there is no gratitude, the sovereignty of? I?He will increasingly apologize for the corruption of his own pleasure.
Pray for a great awakening of humble gratitude
