November 12th? How Satan Serves God

How Satan Serves God

Verse of the Day: You have heard of Job’s patience and seen what the Lord has done for him (James 5:11).

  • Behind all weaknesses and flaws lies God’s decisive will.
  • Is it not that Satan is not involved?he is probably always involved in some way for destructive purposes (Hch.
  • 10.
  • 38).
  • But his power is not decisive.
  • He can’t act without God’s permission.

This is one of job’s disease problems. The text shows that when Job became ill, Satan hurt him from malignant tumors?(Work 2. 7). His wife urged him to curse God, but Job said, “We have received the good of God, and we would not have received evil as well” (Job 2. 10). And again the author of the book praises Job by saying, Has Job not sinned with his lips?”

In other words: it is a correct vision of God’s sovereignty over Satan. Satan is real and may have a part in our calamities, but not a definitive and decisive part.

James clearly shows that God had a good purpose in all of Job’s afflictions: “You have heard of Job’s patience and seen what the Lord has done for him; Why is the Lord full of tender mercy and compassion?(James 5. 11).

Satan was therefore involved, but the decisive goal was God, and he was “full of tender mercy and compassion. “

This is the same lesson we learned from 2 Corinthians 12:7, where Paul says that his sting in the flesh was a messenger of Satan, but the purpose of this sting was his own holiness:?Greatness of revelations, stinger Did you put flesh on me, Satan’s messenger, to slap me?It’s so I don’t get swelled!

Now humility is not Satan’s intention in this affliction; therefore, the goal is God’s. Therefore, here Satan is used by God to accomplish his good purposes in Paul’s life.
