Verse of the day: The eternal God is your home. (Deuteronomy 33. 27)
Word? Accommodation? could be translated as? lordship? or “permanent place”. It gives us the idea that God is our home, our home. There is sweetness and fullness in this metaphor, since the house is a place dear to us, even if it is a simple house. Much dearer is our blessed God, in whom do we live, move and exist? (Acts 17:28). It is at home where we feel safe. The world is outside and we live quietly inside the house. Likewise, when we are with our God, we are not afraid (Psalm 23. 4). He is our refuge, our resting place, our refuge. At home, we find rest after fatigue and the working day. Likewise, our heart finds rest in God when, tired of the conflicts of life, we seek him and our soul remains still. Also at home we set our hearts free; We are not afraid of being misunderstood. When we are with God, we can have open fellowship with him, revealing all our secret desires to him. Yes? Is the intimacy of the Lord for those who fear him? (Psalm 25:14), the intimacy of those who fear him must be with the Lord. Home is also the place of the purest and truest happiness. It is in God that our heart finds its deepest pleasure. In Him we have a joy that surpasses all joys. It is for our house that we work and work. This thought gives us the strength to bear the burdens of daily life and is quick to get the job done; In this sense, we can also say that God is our home. Love for him strengthens us. We think of God in the person of his beloved Son, and a mere glimpse of the suffering face of the Redeemer prompts us to work for him. We feel that we must work, because we still have brothers to save, and we must rejoice the heart of our God by bringing back his wayward children. Happy are those who have the God of Jacob for a refuge!
