When a new year begins, many say, “New year, new you!”To do this, we plan new projects, goals and objectives. We want to achieve new goals and live new realities. And there’s nothing fundamentally wrong with making plans. (Lk 14. 28?32).
The problem is when we do not consider the brevity and fragility of our lives and do not take into account the Lord; when the posture of our heart doesn’t say?If the Lord wills, will we not only live, but we will also do this or that?when we do not entrust our works to the Lord, believing that He will guide our steps (Pr. 16: 3, 9; 19:21).
- The problem is that immersed in this climate of hope.
- The deceptive motivational discourse of the serpent of Eden is disguised: “You deserve it!You can!?.
- Instead of encouraging yourself to consider the Lord and look at what God has done in Jesus.
- Christ.
- Are we encouraged to look at ourselves and believe in the strength of our arm?And year after year we are disappointed and always wonder why!.
So instead of seeking a new life with our own strength, we must consider the Lord and see what God has already done in Christ so that we can live a new life.
In Christ, we are a new creation (2Co 5. 17) and a new humanity (Ephesians 2. 15; Cabbage. 3. 10); we are born again of the Spirit (Jn 3:3) and we are in a new covenant (He 8); we have a new life (Rom 6:4) and a new commandment to follow (Jn 13:34).
Everything we needed to live a new life, God has already given it to us, so we have to ask ourselves:
