We saw this two weeks ago (? God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied with Him, October 13, 2012). Missions, of Global Scope, is to join God in His passion for loving nations, offering to them for the overflowing joy of His praise.
- Missions is our way of saying: the joy of knowing Christ is not a private.
- Tribal.
- National or ethnic privilege.
- It is for all.
- And that is why we go.
- Because we have already experienced the joy of worshipping Jesus and we want all the families of the earth to be included.
The search for the worship of nations is nourished by the joy of our own worship. You can’t recommend what you don’t like. You can’t proclaim what you don’t like. Worship is the fuel and purpose of missions.
There will be no salvation and true worship among people who have not yet heard the gospel. Missions are essential to salvation.
