May 3rd? How to apologize

How to apologize

Verse of the Day: He is faithful and righteous to forgive our sins (1 John 1. 9).

  • I remember hearing one of my teachers at the seminar say that one of the best tests of a person’s theology was the effect it had on their prayers.

I thought it was true for what I was going through in my own life, Christmas and . . . I had just been married and used to pray together every night, I noticed that during Bible classes that deepened my theology, my prayers changed radically.

The most significant change of that time was probably the fact that I learned to argue before God about the foundation of His glory. That your name be sanctified and end with in the name of Jesus meant that the glory of God’s name was the purpose and foundation of everything he prayed for.

And what strength my life received when I learned that prayer for forgiveness should be based not only on a call to God’s mercy, but also on a call to His righteousness in recognizing the value of His Son’s obedience. “Is God faithful and just to forgive our sins? (1 John 1. 9).

In the New Testament, the foundation of all forgiveness of sins is revealed more clearly than in the Old Testament, but the foundation of God’s commitment to his name does not change.

Paul teaches that Christ’s death demonstrated God’s righteousness by forgiving sins and confirmed God’s righteousness by justifying the wicked who trust in Jesus and not themselves (Romans 3:25-26).

In other words, did Christ die once and for all to rid God’s name of what appears to be a grave error of justice? The acquittal of sinners simply by Jesus; But Jesus died in such a way that forgiveness, for Jesus?it is the same as forgiveness “by the name of God. “
