Verse of the Day: I declare to you that from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting to the right of the Almighty and coming upon the clouds of heaven (Matthew 26. 64).
O Lord, you took a humble condition when, before your persecutors, you were forced to remain a criminal!Still, the eyes of your faith could look before you, beyond your humiliation, and see your future glory. These are wonderful words: “From now on, will you see?I will try to imitate your divine foresight; and, in the midst of poverty, or disease, or mockery, I will also say, “From now on, will I see?”Instead of weakness, you have all the power; instead of shame, all glory; instead of contempt, all worship. Your cross has not obscured the splendor of your crown; nor spit has tarnished the beauty of your face. On the contrary, it must be said: “You are more exalted and more honored by your suffering. “
- That is why.
- Lord.
- I will also be encouraged by the words “from now on”.
- I must forget the suffering present as I contemplate the triumph to come.
- Help me.
- Give me the love of the Father and your own patience.
- So that when I am despised by your name.
- I will not be moved.
- But I will be able to think more and more about things to come and therefore less on the things of the present.
- Soon I will be with you and contemplate your glory.
- So I’m not ashamed and say with all my soul.
- “Now will I see?.
